Somewhat of a recent discovery for me is the vast number of people in the racing community who use the PS4 but with a monitor and not a TV, so I just wanted to take a sample poll to see how prevalent this is throughout the entire community... Thanks for votes and please comment if you select other and let us know what you got going on, also to anyone who uses a good tv or monitor the relevant names / links to products would be appreciated so we know what you're talking about. Thanks

Why can I only vote once? I used to play GTA PS3 on tv, then moved to monitor, then moved to PC with a monitor.

Because a monitor is useful both for the PC and the console where as the TV is only useful for the console (I'm not watching flow tv), and since I mostly played PC games I wanted to be able to stay at my desk no matter if I wanted to play GTAV or a PC game. I also found it working much better as my monitor have better performance than my TV as well as you're sitting closer to the screen and can more easily see what's going on.

Monitor hands down. TVs tend to have a noticeable input lag since that's really not the main usage of a TV.

So playing on TV works fine for me. Consoles were designed with a TV in mind, so there really shouldn't be any noticeable thing for us Brocli. Those PC guys though will probably notice a difference immediately. I use a TV but I have the settings adjusted for gaming purposes because that is almost its sole purpose

I've been using a 24" monitor for a few years. It's not as big of a deal with racing, but with shooters, i find that scanning over a big screen TV strains my eyes.

Yeah most people I talk to are saying they use a 24 or 27 inch monitor , i have a fucking 55 inch tv. I think I might try it sometime and see if I can improve my times.

I play on PC through a 40" JVC TV hooked up with a gasp lol VGA cable yes a VGA not even DVI. I originally hooked it up with the HDMI until all 3 HDMI inputs got fried when lightning hit my house. So as a temp solution since then I had a GTX650 I hooked up the VGA output to the PC input on the TV and it blew my mind how much cleaner and crisper it looked as well as colors were way more vibrant. Now I have a GTX 970 and still hooked up to TV with VGA cable with DVI adapter from PC.

Xbox One with a 46" TV. I sit about 2 meters away from my TV when playing.

Sometimes, I'll hook up my PS4 to my TV when I want to stream Amazon Prime and leave it there for for a few days. I don't notice much difference if I go to race with that setup, but I'm not exactly Merphos either.

I need it though because I'm an old fogey, my eyes aren't as sharp as these young uns' eyes are.
