So, I have a question. I bought the game, I have finally installed the game, I have set up the wheel and everything, I've loaded up my favourite track, got in my favourite car, and just drove, around a the circuit alone. What is the next step? Because I could do the last step for the rest of my life We could resurrect this thing that I never really followed through on... nodo.freeforums.net/thread/11925/kaleebs-weekday-pcars2-racing-playlistShit i would love to see that, im still waiting when ppl will gather and play some pcars soo far we only have silkie and fishy events and bless them for that

Does anyone play with just a controller and find they can keep up with everyone else?

Does anyone play with just a controller and find they can keep up with everyone else? I do, I feel I do better than I should with a sim game like this. I'm not great and its probably partially down to the controller but I'm not going to "blame my tools" and say its only thing that is making me slow, as I know I'm not great in sim racing games. I would say it isn't necessary to use a wheel (like when people were on about ETS2), but it is better using one.

Does anyone play with just a controller and find they can keep up with everyone else? Its ok the input translate well into the game however its undeniable that the feedback and precision of the wheel will always allow the driver to push much harder. When people say you can reach the same level its bs, but you can get pretty close if you practice certain car/track combos allot, because after allot of practice you memorise the limits. Essentialy you need way more practice with controller, just to gain a judgement of the limits, and then its up to memory. In the end you still wont have the car feedback nor the full ability of wheel.

That's all I needed to know, thanks all. I'll buy the game when it's next on offer and join y'all when I can. Maybe a wheel can be a moving house present to myself.

Not sure what you're budget would be but I'd suggest either finding a used Logitech G29 or Thrustmaster T300 with the T3PA Pro pedals. Or a brand new Thrustmaster TMX Pro for $250 or find a T300 on sale for $300-$350 or so. fab. ICEMAN just got a new wheel too but I can't remember what it is. If you're budget is higher like $400-$500, you have lots of great options.

But a used one is a great idea.

I'm planning to host a short championship (+- 5 races) in the start of 2018 and I would like to gauge the interest in such a thing. Please let me know if you have any good suggestions for classes/tracks/formats and feel free to tag people who you think might be interested.
