VAPID MINIVAN-DURANCE
(aka Taking the Kids to School)

Who says minivans are just for soccer moms? This event will showcase the true potential of the definitive vehicle of the suburbs known as the Vapid Minivan. And what a better place to race these people carriers than through the suburbs of which they inhabit (eh, sorta). Time to throw out the car seats, leftover paper bags from Up n' Atom Burger and those Republican Space Rangers toys your kids left so we can take these machines racing!

Weather: Clear (Can't be changed)
Length: Around 1hr

Customs: ON, no Restrictions

TIMES
Pre-Lobby: 7pm UTC
Race Lobby: 7:40
Gridding: 7:55
Race Start: 8pm
Prelobby: To be held in a closed friend session. Please make sure that you added me on PSN ahead of time
Please refrain from causing chaos during the Prelobby and gridding for the sake of the other racers. If you fail to do so, you may be subject to grid penalties or disqualification, depending on the severity.
Grid: Random selection to be made one day before race starts. Signups after that point will be placed in back. The pit watcher will start the race using sticky bombs. The start will be staggered with a 15 second delay between classes.
PITS
- 1 Mandatory drive-thru
- No Pitting on the first or last laps
- Entering: The pit entrance will be into the gas station to the left of the section in the hills. Stay left to avoid collisions with traffic not pitting
- If you need to repair your car, you must pull into the wrenches/spanners, get out of, shoot, then get back into your car and drive off. You are not to shoot your car at any other time, and the pit watcher will not be shooting anyone. (Those who took part in the Station Wagon race should be familiar with this)
- Exiting: Keep left as you're leaving and use caution as you will be entering onto the racing line
No Party Chat: We kindly ask that you stay in game chat for better communication with the host, pit watcher and other racers.
Disconnections: If a driver DCs during the race, I kindly ask all drivers to be cautious as the ghost car may cause issues (such as driving all over the place or stopping on the racing line). If you have a mic and notice a ghost car, please call it out so that all the other drivers are aware.
If you need to leave the race for any reason (ragequitting, etc.), please pull your car off the track as far away from the racing line as possible to prevent interference from the AI.
Multiclass Blue Flag rules: If you're being lapped by someone in the same class, you must give up your racing line and let them pass. If you are being lapped by someone from a different class, you aren't required to give up your line to them, but you are not allowed to actively defend. It is recommended, though, that you let them pass if possible.
And as always, all regular NODO Rules apply. Please make sure you're eligible to participate before signing up.
