So, who has this and what team did you pick?
I'm racing for Renault, because let's face it, Palmer's seat was always up for grabs.

I was just about to make a thread for this. GG ndrplz
I've only done the Australia GP so far on 80 which is the lowest level of expert. I'm driving for Haas because Murica. I'm trying to turn traction control and ABS completely off but my T150 pedals are kinda garbage so it's hard to find the right pressure to keep from locking up or lighting up the rear tires. If I can't figure that out then I'll leave TC and ABS on low and bump difficulty up to 90.
I really like it so far. So far I see it as a good upgrade over 2016. Hit me up on steam if you wanna race. I haven't jumped into multiplayer yet.

I still need to get my wheel back from my parents because I completely forgot about it and wasn't using it much after my short F1/pCARS phase over summer Other than that I would be racing for Toro Rosso cause then I can fully live Daniel Kyvat's life of the torpedo c:

I'm struggling with the car, mostly just on setups. I found a workshop one that got me a P11 in quali after a few laps at Melbs (difficulty is 85). But, I really just don't gel with the current generation of cars. F1 2016 I could equal or better Ricciardo's fastest lap at Singapore no trouble, but I love Singapore and the Red Bull is a dream to drive there. I think a bit more front wing to combat understeer at Melbs and I'll be on pace.
The classic mode though... F1 2017 pls, this is too generous. Driving Mansell's 1992 Williams against similarly classic cars and driving it like him - too fast, using opposite lock to correct - feels great. But overtaking around the outside is doable, and it just feels so right.

Just reset the career mode to Ferrari, over Renault.
I did some races with a mate on Friday my time. Realistic cars, realistic grid positions, 3 lap races, 65 difficulty (he's still learning). All tracks. I took Vettel's car, he took Ricciardos. Just running balanced unless it was raining and then full downforce setup.
I just fell in love with how the Ferrari drives. It's amazing.

I'm not really sure where else to ask this but I've searched and searched. Is there a thread that exists somewhere for general discussion of the current F1 season? I'm watching the Singapore GP and it's insanity.
I'd love to have a place to talk about all the crazy shit going on.
I'm not a huge Verstappen fan but that kid has horrendous luck this season.

It's only toxic when you get nationalism at play, Kaleeb42. Basically, if anything happens to Kimi or to Max then nationalism kicks in and common sense is trampled in the ensuing chaos. Kimi fans have this weird belief that there's no sense emotionally investing in Valtteri Bottas, because Kimi is life, Kimi is love (despite him literally being retained as a stop gap, dedicated #2 driver until the Red Bull guys are on the market). When Kimi's out of the race, it's time to get pitchforks and torches and go hunting. Max fans... dear god. It's never Max's fault. When Max took out Ricciardo, it was Ricciardo's fault. Even though Max said it was his fault, the Dutch fans knew better. Max was a victim of Helmut Marko, or something. If you can filter that shit out, it's fine.
