Classifying what he's doing as ragequitting is a bit of an overreaction. Really? I think it's quite an apt description for quitting after one bad experience with a single crew member. Like I said, the logical reaction would be to contact a commissioner, not to just immediately give up and quit. 9 out of 10 times stuff like this (killing crew members in a freeroam lobby) is done by "RanDos" (people who just joined and don't know the rules yet). Usually a simple warning by a commissioner will set them straight. If not, then the ban button is just a simple mouse click away . I like the word "RanDo", maybe we should make a crew for all fanboys

The title of this thread lmao (goes to a random PS4 lobby = nodo ) Talks about how the racing is great, and gives 1 random complaint about 1 member killing him in a random public, without proof, name, or will to perhaps forget about it, which is what a mature person would do instead of whine at the forum and judging all nodos along the way. If it had realy annoyed you, you would have reported it, and not let it get in the way of racing. You joined the crew 11 days ago, thats enough said to realise that you are the random who doesnt know his place yet. cya, have fun in your friends crew. And vredstein ,your right its not a ragequit, its moaning like a child, expecting us to apologise for him or some shit (thus the title)

I have been with NODO for a few months now on PC and have NEVER had a bad experience in a public lobby...this is a case of an inexperienced player blaming the whole for a stupid one, then looking for attention with this thread instead of contacting the culprit or an admin...

"We'll kiss your boo boos and get rid of the bad man." Yeah...no. That's not how you earn respect around here.

I think its more about losing respect (or perhaps more accurately credibility) than having to earn it, everyone should start out by being respected. I'm sure this is what you meant so not trying to call you out or anything just wanted it to be raised non-confrontationally because it is an important distinction.
As someone who has literally joined this week and tried to be an active member in here and online every day since, it's becoming clear to me from joining NoDo playlists that I'm a bit off the pace of a lot of people in this crew. This is most likely due to a lack of experience of clean/fast racing (as well as a lack of talent!). I know NoDo is open to any ability as long as you agree with the ethos, so is there a space for people who may class themselves as "ultra casuals" (for lack of a better name) and if anyone identifies themselves in this category would they be interested in helping set up some mixed ability playlist nights? This might already exist perhaps.
Latter point might be more suitable for a new thread (although i don't think I'm supposed to set up a new thread yet as a very new member?). In the meantime I'll keep practising to improve my speed/consistency.

In the meantime I'll keep practising to improve my speed/consistency. I'm also one of the very casual players and I did host an event specifically for these people (on PC). However, in these events good drivers are also welcome, but their skill is somewhat balanced with the starting procedure. In general it's not a very popular thing to exclude certain racers, because their too good. So yes the only thing that you can do is practice. You can always ask the better drivers to take weaker cars, which usually makes for a better racing experience for everyone in the lobby.

I completely understand that we shouldn't be excluding people for being too good, it would send out a bad message. But if you're just in a casual playlist and someone is always forced to take weaker cars than they would otherwise like to use it may discourage some players from joining in the first place, and so slower drivers end up out of contention or in much smaller groups of NoDo members, especially at the beginning. Not an easy solution. Maybe instead of being a section for weaker drivers, maybe just a regular thing for newer drivers who have less experience and therefore likely to be of a lower standard. It allows new members to get a full experience of what being in NoDo is about very early on. How great would it be for someone new who is keen to get involved to be immediately invited to a weekly event aimed at them where they will be in a full lobby full of other clean racers? I don't know how feasible any of this is though.

Here's the link to jt33396 's welcome playlist, however it's stuck in the event submission. Maybe you and other new drivers can get this thing started again...

Yeah that's a good point, particularly when you think across 3 platforms it may be tricky to do too regularly. If anyone else is interested maybe reply to this comment if you would want to get involved? If we get no replies that answers the question!

I'm not sure if I even want to do it anymore because I got pCARS2 and GTA is showing its lack of care (It hasnt aged badly tbh, but R* are just letting it fall apart and its demoralizing to want to play on it)

I m like just a week a member of NoDo and so far you guys seem pretty friendly in free roam.
Op has got to understand that anyone can easily join NoDo with a single click and he may as well never even register to the forums and read the rules.

That's how we lure you in. Snazzy redesign of the forum and whole crews, general respect in free roam, and then BAM! You're being taken out by lag or forced to race in vans in a playlist.
