I usually lap my C. Safari around multiple rally tracks, most notably Flintstone Springfield. I usually do it in clear weather, but I started trying out rally racing during rain, and all cars but the Safari performed worse. The safari was able to pull about 3 seconds faster laptime during rain.
I feel like rain causes cars with irregular traction loss (in the Safari’s case, a 0.3 value vs the normal 1.0 on most cars) to handle a bit more naturally, literally making it easier to drive. Anyone have an opinion?

Rain increases top speed (and IIRC acceleration too, as long as your wheels aren't digging the dirt).
Rockstar logic : rain decreases coefficient of friction. Friction makes car go slower. Therefore rain makes car go faster.

Some mud/dirt surfaces also get increased grip when wet. The traction loss stat serves as an amplifier, how much stronger the surface effects get. A value of 0 treats the surface as stated in the materials file, anything higher is worse. Note how both Jesters have a value of 1.4 and how terribly slow they are offroad. Meanwhile the Kuruma, with a value of 0, can outrun pretty much anything including supers.

The Yosemite, well... that thing is trash in the rain takes about 2 minutes to get off the line.

I still remember last year I had the rockstar race Route 66 in my playlist and during the period of snow the world record got broken which I didn't understand.

So does this mean the Kuruma performs the same on dirt as it does on tarmac? What about the armoured version?

Interesting, but I'd rather have a front end that turns in than mad speed lol
