Bet they could if they really wanted to. Doesn't generate Shark cars sales though, so no focus on it. The new handling flags, that have been introduced in the latest update, seem to be an attempt to actually fix stuff like curbboosting, MDSB and brakeboosting. That is also true, but to me that looks more like testing new physics for the next game than fixing a current problem. It doesn't do anything for all previous cars.

Getting rid of brakeboosting is enough.
Kerb boosts, MDSB, Short Shifting is fine.

You're right, BUGSY oO. It indeed looks like testing for the next installment, but they atleast acknowledge the issues in the game. And who knows, maybe they just put the handling flags that work well on every car in the game to test. Btw we went a bit off topic

Non-Contact is pretty much only for lap times for me, in rest I prefer regular races for the excitement you get when passing someone just centimeters next to their car.

I'd personally prefer full contact since it makes the race all the more exciting. It also, IMO, makes you a better driver in the long run

Might as well just go hotlapping on your own. Incredibly boring.

I personally prefer contact, since, as you've said it, non-contact races are just lap time shootouts. If you want to get the best lap time, you might aswell do it by yourself. Also, lap times arent everything, so the person with the best lap time isnt necessarily the best racer, since race craft is also a big part in racing. Knowing how to defend and overtake is as if not more important than posting the best lap time

Knowing how to defend and overtake is as if not more important than posting the best lap time I imagine a lot of us who vote non-contact play a lot in public, where if your in any kind of contact race you'll have catch up, slipstreams, and the whole thing becomes a demo derby. You even have people driving backwards on certain races or blocking the roads off (Nascar races are bad for this). At least in non-tact everybody is forced to play fair, don't like it then quit.
From a crew perspective I can see the argument of it being just hot-lapping, but to say "you may as well race alone" is incredibly stupid for 2 main reasons.
(1) You earn way less money racing solo then with others. You can get some 60-70k coming first with 20-30 people in about a 8 minute race. What do you get solo? 10k if that?
(2) It's still exciting having other people in the lobby, trying to be better then all the other players. You don't get that excitement racing solo.
