There are 2 servers atm. One is called "Racing", the other one "Staff Development, Recording, Testing, Steam Link" (Address: 126.96.36.199:30120). Just search for project homecoming and both should show up.
The server appears to be full, because access is limited by rank (see excerpt from the FAQ channel on discord below). You can get the rookie role by logging in (use the Development server) and linking your game to discord. Again check the FAQ on discord for more information.
"Q: What are the server limits
Access to the server is limited by rank. The limits are very much a work in progress and are changing but the current setting is:
More than 15: Restricted to rookies and above More than 25: Restricted to racers and above More than 27: Restricted to directors and above More than 28: Restricted to hosts"
Just wanted to say thanks for the server, for people like me that couldn't race on normal servers because I didn't have the game until like 3 days ago (so no money online), it is amazing that you guys make it possible!
How does the racing server work? is it random types of racing?
For example if I wanted to just race in Random All, how would I go about doing that?
Races are hosted by "racers", which is a role that certain players have. And NO, you can't get the racer role right off the bat, you have to earn it. If you want to do a random all race, you have to ask for it. However, since they aren't very popular amongst the racers, don't ask for it more than once per hour.
Here's my recommendation (you can even quote me if you want): Hop on the server (and make sure to get the "rookie" role and read the faq on discord) and then ask for it after a race has finished. If it doesn't happen within an hour and no one else has asked for it, you can ask again.
