I have played this a few times Not sure what you mean by gaming mechanics but i'll try my best. Cars are fun to drive, and learning curve is pretty easy. There's good support for wheels and pedals but you don't need them. You can Be as fast with controller or keyboard too. Game looks nice and is much Fun. Feel free to Ask more If you like
I've played online on BenDover's server. It felt like home because of them fair racing rules. Very much like here in NoDo. If i want to release some steam then join some no rules server where everyone usually drives More aggressive.
I've enjoyed Wreckfest, the graphics and physics are very impressive, but after about 5 hours I've gotten rather bored with the grind for the unlocks. Seems like there's just a handful of tracks with alternate paths depending on the race. I do recommend it, I greatly appreciate you to have to be strategic about car upgrades (armor decreases speed), just would advise holding off for a sale if you can. My first experience with the game was actually racing with Broughy during a stream about a month ago, which was very fun.
I agree with jaguarshark, I love the game but when they were working toward the official release and kept updating it and erasing my progress so I had start over to unlock everything again didn't make me very happy. That shouldn't be an issue since it is out officially now. It's a great stress reliever for sure especially on the figure 8 tracks and the demo derby game-mode!
