Does anyone know why all of the OG vehicles (day 1 cars) have much more violent body destruction (as in like a crumpling front bumper) as compaired to newer dlc cars which seem to have almost no visual damage when you collide with something?

I think it's because most people can't drive at all, yet still want to be able to recognize their expensive supercar.
By far the most durable car I have seen in this game is the Coquette Classic. Good luck denting that thing. If only it had pop up headlights...

I don’t like to complain a lot, but there’s really no denying that over time rockstar has become lazy with the vehicles they put into the game, you need only to look at the newly released vehicles that are OP or bugged. You’d be hardpressed to find a mid engines super car with an opening hood, even though the cheetah had one at launch that looked very good. My best guess for this trend is rockstar putting their efforts into Red Dead Redemption 2 rather than focusing so much into creating detailed vehicle models with many destructible components and also the proper rigging for these components to deform in an accident. It’s a shame, really, but the more GTA V ages we can only expect the quality to decrease as the dev team moves on.

There is nothing more that can be said that what the two guys above me did. I feel like the development that went into the game is so extraordinarily different than what it is now, the two games are almost incomparable in many aspects, including vehicle physics.
