Hi guys, basically threw the idea out there in this thread about getting a group of Track reviewers to review NoDo member created tracks and help the crew produce better quality content for the rest of the members to enjoy. As we all know, the like/dislike system is a very poor way of getting feedback, and doesn't help anyone. I was thinking a group on 3-5 people that regularly play during weekends, to select 5 Nodo created tracks each week and give full constructive feedback, even a feedback video if anyone is willing to go that far? I'd also like to say that if you think the track is garbage and you would never use it, to not be scared to say so, obviously giving reasons why. I'm not sure how we could go about selecting the 5 tracks fairly, but I do think that we should only ever review a track twice, which helps keep the quality to a level that wouldn't be wasting peoples time. A rule suggestion I have is that only one track per member a week can be submitted, and that they should be submitted with a descriptive paragraph, that just explains the kind of thing you were going for, if you made a track to be a fun, non serious event (similar to broughys drag kings track) it would only be right to judge it from that point of view, I hope that makes sense? Anyway, if your interested or have any ideas on how best to do this they'd be appreciated!

I'd love to do it, but I can't commit to being able to play, review, post etc. on a regular basis every weekend. I'd prefer being sent a track to review, and then reviewing it that way, (on request, basically). However, if there are people out there that can do what you've suggested, then I'm in full support of it. I'll send you some of my tracks to review.

I agree being sent a track and reviewing it as and when would be the best, but that's essentially how the forum is at the moment but no feedback is being given to most of them, and the other problem with that system if it became popular, you'd be swamped with requests and people would start missing out

I think this is an excellent idea. Absolutely! There should be thought about how the tracks that get reviewed get picked.
For example: if we would have a big list that gets new tracks added as they get submitted, it would get big very quickly. After a few weeks you would have a waiting list that lasts a couple of weeks. Perhaps it would be reasonable to only let people add another track after there are no other people left.
First list: 1. Jack's track 2. George's track 3. Leo's track 4. Broughy's track 5. Michael's track
For instance, if jack wants to submit a new track, he gets added to a second list, that only gets picked when the first list is empty.
Second list: 1. Jack's second track
Now Leo also wants to add another track, but Hank wants to add one too. Leo's submitting a track for the second time so he gets added to that list. But hank isn't.
First list: 1. Jack's track 2. George's track 3. Leo's track 4. Broughy's track 5. Michael's track 6. Hanks track Second list: 1. Jack's second track 2. Leo's second track
Now the reviews of all the tracks on list 1 get prioritized and then when that's empty, we start reviewing the second list. First list:
1. Jack's track 2. George's track
3. Leo's track 4. Broughy's track 5. Michael's track 6. Hanks track Second list: 1. Jack's second track 2. Leo's second track
Then eventually the first list will become empty. First list:
1. Jack's track
2. George's track
3. Leo's track
4. Broughy's track
5. Michael's track
6. Hanks track Second list: 1. Jack's second track 2. Leo's second track
Then it's time to review the second list. Untill a new person comes along, say he's called Pete, and Pete submits a track. But Broughy's now submitting (e.g.) the North Loop.. First list:
1. Jack's track
2. George's track
3. Leo's track
4. Broughy's track
5. Michael's track
6. Hanks track 7. Pete's track Second list:
1. Jack's track 2. Leo's second track 3. Broughy's second track
Now Pete's track get reviewed first and then Leo's.. etc.
Is this clear and do you guys think this is a good idea? This way we can control the amount of tracks that get reviewed and give everyone a chance.

I like the list idea, but I'll put a slightly different spin on it, during a week, we could review 5 tracks, and get a list of the tracks for next week, on a first come first serve basis.
You can only submit a track if there is space on next weeks list, that way we don't have to keep track of people submissions to much?

I think I've just come up with a much better way of doing this, I'll set it up later, but it gets more people involved and makes the system fair fir everyone, I'll explain it later as I'm currently in the middle of a 14 hour day at work... Kill me now!

Kill me now! Your idea of just the "first come first get" is cool too. Curious as to what you've come up with though!
