I keep on getting so much damage by getting shot by the enemies that spawn after getting into the vehicle. Any tip is appreciated

You can do one of two things:
Keep driving and lose the enemies OR park up the car and kill them.
If you keep driving you're likely to take a few grand worth of damage on the car before you can get away. They will typically give up chasing you after about a minute, earlier if you drive faster. It's faster but not as safe.
The way I'd recommend is to kill them first. When you're first prompted to get in the car, drive it until the global signal triggers and park it on the road before getting out. Then go and take cover near something and wait for the enemies. They will follow the car and not you, so you are free to pick them off as they come near the car. They will spawn in as 4 sets of 2, so a maximum of 8 enemies. Once you've taken them out you should have no damage to the car and you won't have to deal with enemies have you drive back.
Hope this helps you out.

For the missions on the right of the map you can usually use the railway line to get back to the city which helps avoid the AI which spawns on the roads. There are a few missions with a stealth element where if you avoid detection you won't get any aggro when driving back.

Enemies will spawn in around 4-5 waves of 2-3 vehicles after you have stolen it. Stop and get out and kill them.

Well, ill give you what i do. TL;DR version, just drive as fast as possible
Its pretty simple, if you are good enough, you will only get a few thousand dollars of damage. While that seems like a lot, I consider it a better alternative because of 2 reasons
1. Unless you get ammo for free, killing/blowing up your pursuers will deplete your ammo, which you will need to pay to replenish, sometimes its a lot more expensive than you realize
2. You waste time stopping. If you are good at import/export, you can easily make 200k an hour. If you break that down, thats over 3k a minute, so if you stop for 2 or more minutes, you are probably losing money by wasting time

For me, do many export missions and learn where the enemies spawn. Then, just DRIVE FAST. Never lost more than a few thousand and its quicker.

Instead of going the way the GPS tells you(The yellow line) make sure before you steal the car, you know how to get to the closest highway, after that you should not have any problems, make sure to change the side of the road you're on frequently, so enemy cars won't spawn as much

typically worth it to just drive away and take a few grand in dmg rather than spend money on explosives to kill the gangs chasing you

IMPORTING: I usually just park the car out of harm's way and deal with the waves of enemies. This way, even if you die, the car will not be harmed. As soon as you see the red dots on your mini map, get out of the car and move away from it. Npcs don't want the car, they want you. They are usually vicious so it's normal to die, but as long as the car's not in the middle of the action you'll be fine.
EXPORTING: If enemies spawn do exactly the same as above, get the car out of the way and deal with the baddies.
Most times enemies spawn when you're playing on a solo server. Granted, these are usually chock full with people so you can try to find a new server via the menu until you land on one with two three people that will probably be minding their own business. You don't want a solo public server for this type of activity, you want at least one other person to be there with you or else enemies will appear. If you have at least one person with you you won't have anyone coming your way.

I just saved up enough money to buy a cargobob. You get the misssions done much quicker without damage and it’s more efficient

On certain missions such as the car meet ups or following a Kuruma to a specific location and then killing the enemies, the lock on missiles in the Buzzard will kill enemies without causing any damage to the car itself. Even if the missile kills an enemy standing next to the car, it’s 99.9%* effective.
*I’ve used this approach for roughly 1000/1250 imports, and genuinely it has only failed once, I think I cannoned an enemy onto the hood of the car and then fired again stupidly and blew the car up, but other than that it’s completely foolproof.

And for missions involving police, call Lester immediately when you get in the car, you’ll pay $600 (or nothing if you’ve done the Doomsday Heists), this will save you thousands in damage.

Cargobob Don't sell in pub solo, enemies chase after you and do substantial damage. This is one thing that pisses me off about this update. EVERY FUCKING BULLET HITS YOUR CAR AND EVERYONE WANTS TO SWERVE INTO YOU. I feel your pain buddy. The Jetsam version is worth it. Because I told you it is.
