I'm brand new, a few days in as of this posting, to the NODO PC crew on GTA Online.
The main reason (and only reason to be honest) I joined this crew was to get more people to race with, since it's fairly dead on GTA for racing. I started to notice that almost everything is done on UK time. I realize that the time I get on to game is usually midnight or later over there.
How many of you are in the U.S.?
I'm EST time (1:45pm when you do the daily race events that I can rarely make, at best, since I get on around 8 or 9 est, most of the time).
I'm just wondering if I should keep looking for a racing crew that is more involved and active at the times I'm on, since most sane people would never game that late as a UK gamer would (i've had 3 british gaming friends and we've gamed a total of 5 times since last year, because of schedules).
Just figured I'd ask on the forums and see who responds since only a handful of people seem to be on discord, with over 500 in the crew for gta.
Thanks

East US here also. But M-Thu I don't get home until 11pm. Lots happening on the weekends in this racing community though. Events and playlists typically kick off at 2pm our time or a little earlier in the morning.

Yeah, it's a rare occasion I'll make the time they kick them off. I don't have a nice job that affords the time off at those type of hours. Usually, like you, I'll be working mad late. I never gave it a thought that this crew would be on the UK Time. I haven't gamed with anyone as of yet, even though I invite and try to when I see crew members on. One of my gaming friends is a big fan of Broughy's and he use to be part of nodo before he gave up, given the times people congregate in gta racing. I like the orange custom color, but I have the punisher logo on the crew I started, albeit tiny. Figure I"ll give it a month and see what happens before I switch back and resume recruitment through the races I do find. I can't commit to a race ahead of time, because I get odd jobs here and there when i do have free time, sometimes the day of my free time (no warning). Was thinking the crew was more like a "lets see what this invite is all about" in stead of a time card/punch in/punch out type of thing. Unless its organized, it seems like it won't go down.

seeing as you are on pc might I suggest looking into the fiveM server project homecoming? I assume it is still active at most hours of the day as it exploded in popularity due to Broughy's videos. You might be more likely to see wider hours of races being hosted there than in the main crew when all the euros have gotten off?

They banned me after I vocalized concerns on a broughy video on youtube about their moderators insulting me when I asked legitimate questions about the server rules and where to get them when they were first starting up. They also shot some insults on me through youtube messages before doing so, too lol. I wasn't fond of how things are run on there, specially how they were randomly kicking me out of races for other players in the server. I remember one night spending over an hour on their server and not getting to race once. It's a cool concept and set up, though, but I won't be returning to it, or fivem, after trying some other similar servers. Thanks for the idea though

Thanks for the idea though FriendlyBaron hosts playlists in the evening a couple days a week, could probably get into some of them as a start.

I'll just make it a habit of checking the forums and discord before I hop into the game. I'll definitely join if I'm around, but I doubt I could ever sign up for the events ahead of time. It's kind of hard to plan ahead for me, given the work situation and taking care of a paralyzed father. That's why I usually only game after 8pm or so, when he's asleep for the night.
