You have to look at the positives. Labour was not elected, which is a start because Miliband was a bit of a dork; but more importantly, you didn't have a man whose first tweet was his own name as Chancellor of the Exchequer. I do lament that both our centre-right and centre-left parties have gone to the Democrats and Republicans for election strategy advice. Who wants to emulate the American system?! Yeah, and I think we can all agree that all the parties were terrible this year. It was just damage controlling at this point.

Tbh as there are more polling areas in the southern parts of the UK thats why conservatives won because there were more votes there than the northern parts which had mainly labour and snp for Scotland

Think it's put paid to the idea that he's unelectable - he's at least the most electable Labour candidate. I like the fact that his policies focus on fairness and are clearer than Miliband's were; hopefully his conviction in what he believes will garner some support because it's served the Tories well, even if you disagree with what they say and do.

I really like a lot of his policies and beliefs such as anti austerity and building house instead of putting more money in landlords pockets etc etc. The one thing I can't get past is his stance on the County's defence and role of the military. We are a tiny country that is a big player on the world stage and I can't get my head around his belief that we should surrender that. Can I see him being elected in the next GE? That's hard to tell right now but he seems to have captured the hearts and minds of the young voters who feel they are hard done by the current Conservative government, time will tell!
