JoJo won and earned fight of the night... I'm so happy Good thing she withstood that early pressure from *whoeverthatnewgirlwas* ... connected on some legit strikes, looked a little iffy there for a while... did a good some shaking those off and getting into her groove after that. Clearly dominated through the end.

I like Rousey, but she was outclassed in almost every way. Curious to see rematch and/or how Holm handles her first title defense... Silva went down like a tall sack of potatoes

Silva went down like a tall sack of potatoes Ronda usually rushes in at the opening and it usually works but there's a high probably of getting punched when fighting a pro boxer. Holly was so dominant, I'd be surprised if Ronda can find a way to beat her.

There comes a point where using your size to bully your way around a ring just won't cut it. Holly saved herself with her punches, but her takedown defense wasn't a slouch either.

She needs to fire her creepy douchebag coach and find someone who can teach her proper striking. Her striking is abysmal. Glad Holly won, she deserved it. Rousey had been getting on my nerves for the past few months and topped it off by acting like a twat at the weigh ins for now reason.

Here we are, a few days away from what is supposed to be the "fight of the year" and I'm still re-watching the Rousey VS Holm fight. Nothing is ever going to top the satisfaction of seeing Rousey's ego take a hit like that. Nothing! At this point, the Aldo VS McGregor fight will be almost impossible to live up to the hype. I almost wish it was over already so they can stop talking about it. Almost. Frankie Edgar vs Chad Mendes is going to be good. That's probably the most under hyped fight of this weekend.

Talk shit, get bit. We've seen Rousey go down in flames already, and as much as I've liked watching Connor MacGregor in the past I must admit I'll smile if he ends up getting his ass kicked!

I guess I was wrong about the Edgar vs Mendes fight. That was way too short. Maybe Mendes should think about retirement.

Aldo VS McGregor: That sucked. A year of hype and millions of dollars promoting a 13 sec KO. I'd like to see them actually fight next time.

Yeah that was insane. Took me a full minute to even process what happened. I'm so bummed out as an Aldo fan. Conor has been all class in the post fight interviews though, so props to him.

The card was great and the fight was as long as it needed to be. It will be interesting to see the UFC in 20 years when these fighters learn how to box. The striking in the UFC is so incredibly bad its a damn good thing they have the smaller gloves or we would never see KO's. Id say Mcgregor is the best striker in the UFC as the moment and I dont think he would last more than 2-3 rounds against a decent boxer. The really weird thing about the striking being so bad is the lack of wrestling in the UFC lately. There are some guys that wrestle but there are so many more strikers its insane and oddly they are mostly all "KO artists" even though their striking is meh.

The striking is not "incredibly bad" unless you're comparing it to Mayweather or Giorgio Petrosyan. I think the striking will improve overall in the future, especially the footwork. But if you think it's incredibly bad at this point, I think you'll be dissappointed in 20 years time. It's simply not feasible to be absolutely elite in every facet of the game. Conor might be a head above most guys in terms of striking but his wrestling and grappling is sorely lacking compared to everyone else at the top of his division. I don't think the fight was as long as it should have been. For all we know, this is a Cain Velasquez v. Junior Dos Santos situation. It wasn't a fluke, but I would not rule out Aldo in a rematch.
