As some of you know, the German G36 is inaccurate at temperatures over 23°C (I will not convert to Fahrenheit, it's stupid) because "it's not meant to be used for that kind of environment". The magazines apparently get stuck often and bullets are not strong enough because it's only caliber 5.56. This apparently also applies to the American M4, which is allegedly going to get replaced by the "M4A1+". The Bundeswehr has been searching for a new rifle since 2010. I've heard that they're maybe going to use the XM8 but I don't have any sources. Now discuss!

I'd read the sources, but I don't speak German.
Now, when you shoot a gun, it gets hot. How hot depends of course on the weather, but also on how often you fire single rounds. It can get so hot the plastic accessories can literally begin to melt, should you shoot it non-stop long enough. So after the first few rounds shot in a potential firefight the outside tempreature ceases to matter.
Guns are affected by head/cold, of course. I don't know about the Gs, but after many years of deployment in the Middle East I have not heard anything about the M4 being particularly affected by the heat.
So, again, I can't read what's in those articles, but I'm not sure there's anything to discuss. Guns all have their optimal working tempreature, but do they care for a little heat? Not really.
EDIT: I just reread my post and I noticed how horrendously wrong the "but after many years of deployment in the Middle East I have not heard anything about the M4 being particularly affected by the heat." words sound. I have not ever been to the Middle East, nor am I an armyman (Yet. I passed exams this spring and I'm joining what's called the University of Defence in August). What I meant was the M4's years of deployment.

NATO uses 5.56 in most of their assualt rifles. Honestly I think the ACR is the best Assualt Rifle for military use at the moment. It brings a lot of versatility to the table and the resilience that people love about guns like the Ak-47. The Tar-21 is good bullpup AR also.

ACR is heavy and really provides no considerable advantage imo. I'd go for SCAR Heavy, if anything. It's combat tested and the 7.62 cailber makes world of a difference. I wish the Czech army went for the M4 also, but nooooooo, we have to carry an untested hog of a gun just to give the contract to a local manufacturer.

I'm assigned to a USAF squadron on a German Air Force base and the GAF love when we go to the range together because we get to try each others stuff out. They love shooting the M4...which is kinda funny since the US personnel don't really care for the gun. The grass is always greener I suppose. Everyone complains that the G36 is too much plastic. Maybe that's part of the problem, like Renegade mentioned.

Don't know anything about guns. When I first read the title I thought it was about the claimed stats for Bmw M4 and Infinity G36.
