Welcome PC Racers,
the 2015 Grotti F1 World Championship is about to start into a new season. The Grotti F1 World Championship (also Grotti F1) is the highest class of single-seat auto racing in GTA Online PC. The Grotti F1 World Championship has been the premier form of racing since the first season in 1950.
The "formula", designated in the name, refers to a set of rules with which all participants must comply. The Grotti F1 season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix (from French, originally meaning great prizes), held throughout the world of GTA V on purpose-built F1 circuits and public roads.
The results of each race are evaluated using a points system to determine two annual World Championships, one for the F1 drivers and one for the F1 constructors.
The Grotti Turismo is amongst the fastest road course racing cars in the GTA world, owing to very high cornering speeds achieved through the generation of large amounts of aerodynamic downforce. The car is capable of lateral acceleration in excess of five g in corners. The Grotti F1 World Championship has radically evolved and changed through the history of the sport.
While Los Santos is the sport's traditional base, and hosts about half of each year's races, the sport's scope has expanded significantly and an increasing number of Grands Prix are held outside of Los Santos.

arkenLOL wins 2nd race of the season but ovivoJR is World Champion
arken has won his 2nd race at the Grotti F1 World Championship assuring him 25 points for the victory. With a flawless drive he once again showed that he is an extremly fast driver. With an 8 points gap he achieves a great 2nd place at the 2015 Grotti F1 World Championship. His main competitor ovivoJR secured the title today with a 3rd place granting him 15 points. " I am speechless that I actually achieved to win this season. It was a tough fight with ups and downs but in the end it turned out well", he said after the celebration party. fab.ICEMAN finshed the season in 3rd place. After the Cluck´in Bell race his hopes for the title had been destroyed by a lightpole on the track.
The constructors championship goes tho Xero F1 Motorsports. Teammates arken and Renegade1911 managed to increase their 13 point lead before the last race to a 19 points victory over LS Customs F1 Team. In third place Team Tequi-la-la finished the season with fab.ICEMAN and blah★ as their drivers.

1. General Information:
• Number of races: 8 (lasting 1 hour)
• Number of drivers: max. 22

2. Requirements:
• Teams: You need to sign up for this event in parties of 2 players building 1 team (you are not allowed to sign up alone without having a teammate). Each team is supposed to announce their name (based on any in game company i.e. Ron Petrol Racing (Here is a link to all companies of GTA 5 Companies) and their team colors (i.e. orange/white) prior to first qualifying of the season. Both cars need to have the same paintjob/livery on their cars. Please post a screenshot of your cars and drivers prior to first race.
• Cars: The only allowed car for this event is the Grotti Turismo R. You are allowed to upgrade any of the following parts freely (Suspension, Engine, Spoiler, Brakes, EMS, Lights, Carbon Parts, Windows) You are RESTRICTED to the following parts (Tuner/High-End/Sport tires) There are NO other tires (Off-Road/SUV/Muscle/Lowrider) allowed.
• Participation: You need to at least attend 5 out of 8 races for the season. Otherwise you will be disqualified from the event.
• Reserve Driver: If you are not able to participate in a race you are free to find a reserve driver. Make a post on the thread at least 3 days prior to the race that you need a reserve driver. The reserve driver has to drive in your team colors. The points the reserve driver achieves at the race will be counted for the driver he has raced for. If a reserve driver is taking your spot for a race, the race will NOT be counted towards your missed races (Minimum participation of 5 out of 8 races).
• Teamspeak: To participate in this event you need to join Mumble (Server: nodoteamspeak.servegame.com PW: nodo). You don’t need to talk but you have to be able to hear the announcement of the race official/pit watcher!
3. Racing Regulations
• Qualifying: There will be 2 Official Qualifying Sessions (Thursday/Friday) prior to the race. They will be hosted by meetmypyro right after the daily PC playlist. Fastest lap of each participant will be noted and announced after the 2nd official session. If you are not able to participate in the official QF sent a screenshot of your time to my private account so I can include your time into the final timetable. DONT post a screenshot on this thread!
• Race Start: Everybody lines up behind the safety car in order they have finished the qualifying. The safety car will lead the drivers onto a formation lap. Once arrived at the starting grid the safety car sets everybody up for the race start. Race start will be announced by an exploding sticky bomb.
• Major Incidents: If there is a major incident involving 4 or more cars there will be a safety car deployed. In this situation every driver should ease of the gas and line up behind the safety car. Overtaking is NOT ALLOWED during safety car period. The safety car will then go off to the side of the track and the race is open again.
• Disconnections: If there is a disconnection during a race than this will be counted as a DNF (caused through engine failure). This will not count toward the missed race counter. If there are to many disconnects (>5 per race) racing officials have the right to stop the race. If 50% of the race has been done there will be half points awarded to the remaining racers in order they have last crossed the finish line.
• Pit Stops: There will be 2 mandatory pitstop windows per race (i.e. lap 4-6 and 11-13). The pitstop window is announced prior to the race and also during the race by the racing official/pitstop watcher. You have to do one pitstop per pitstop window. To do a regular pitstop, you have to proceed to the end of the pitlane and stop. Look at the time you have stopped and wait for 20 seconds (i.e. 10:20 -> 10:40). The pit watcher will inform you of your beginning time and ending time based on the overall race clock when coming to a full stop at the end of the pit, this is not to be confused with your current lap time. If there is someone in the pit ahead of you, come to a stop just behind them and and announce your stop time to the pit watcher. This will help the pit watcher get you back on the course asap. In the end it is on the driver to complete 2 pit stops of 20 seconds, the pit watcher is there to help as much as possible. The pits will be filmed and if a racer leaves the pit early, the driver will be penalized 20 additional seconds.
• Pit Stops in pitstop closed conditions: You go into the pits as you normally would and proceed to the end of the pitlane. You come to a complete stop at the end of the pitlane. After having stopped completly you are free to leave the pits as fast as you can. In case a car is on the racetrack approaching the pitexit section of the track you have to give him the way. If you cause any collision leaving the pits you will get a 5 sec stop and go penalty.
• Race Finish: To finish a race just drive into the last checkpoint as you would do on any normal race. If people are not able to make it to the finish line b/c of the 30sec counter that starts after 50% have passed finish, they will be counted as if they had finished the race. The final timetable will be the end result for the race.
• After the race: Points will be given to the drivers/teams accordingly to the final timetable and be posted on this thread.
4. Pointing System:
• 1st – 25 Pts. ; 2nd – 18 Pts. ; 3rd – 15 Pts. ; 4th – 12 Pts. ; 5th – 10 Pts. : 6th – 8 Pts. ; 7th – 6 Pts. ; 8th – 4 Pts. ; 9th – 2 Pts. ; 10th – 1 Point
• For the Constructors Championship all points that teammates score will be counted towards the Construtors Championship (i.e. if you get a 1st and 2nd place finish you score 43 points)
5. Penalty System:
Stop-and-Go Penalty: This penalty works like a pitstop. You proceed to the end of the pits and wait for the given amount of time. Then you are free to move back onto the racetrack again.
Time Penalty: This penalty will be added to your overall time at the end of the race

- #1 The following accidents are deemed to be a cause for waiting for the racer to regain the lost position (you may continue on the track but not at full speed): The driver in the rear pits the driver in front by accident, the driver in the rear hits the driver in front and causes them to go off the road or crash, the driver makes contact on the side with the slower car infront causing them to crash. If the position is NOT given back then this will result in a 20 second stop and go penalty or an addition to their overall time.
- #2 The following pertain to drivers re-entering the race from a 1 car accident: If the said driver does not look before coming back onto the track and cause an accident then said driver will obtain 1 warning, but if it happens again then the said driver will obtain a 10 second stop and go penalty or an addition to their overall time.
- #3 The following restrictions pertain to lap traffic: If the lead drivers come behind you and honk their horn/give you a voice command that they are behind you, you are to maintain speed but give them the inside line as best as possible. If said slower/lap traffic does not allow for the faster/lead driver to pass they will obtain 1 warning, but if said driver does the mistake again then they will obtain a 10 second stop and go penalty or an addition to their overall time.
- #4 The following pertain to intentional pitting or ramming of another racer: Said racer that has made the intentional pitting or ramming of another driver will be disqualified from the race and may result in further action by the crew commissioner.
- #5 Any other accident will be handled as a racing incident on an accident by accident basis.
