For me it is going back to WaW but 1): ability to drive tanks without any killstreak requirements 2): Violence.WHY CAN YOU NOT RIP OPEN A GUYS CHEST OR BLOW OFF HIS HEAD WITH A SHOTGUN ?

The future theme. To me, all it does is cater to the 12 year old kids who whine whenever they die.

I liked it when maps were designed oddly, but in such a manner that neither team had a distinct disadvantage. OP lines of sight on Highrise, nadespots on dome, the RC flank on Nuketown; those things made the game interesting. If they could bring back maps that weren't like the bland speedball maps of AW, I would enjoy the game a lot more.

An older style of maps, guns and without that boost jump thing.

As much as I like Black Ops 3 I hope future CoDs go back to a grittier, older theme such as Vietnam or World War 1 or 2, maybe even earlier such as the American Civil War. I want less technology and more visceral combat involving people.

A relatable setting. CoD doesn't do SciFi all that well. We have Halo for that. They should go back to a more realistic setting. Modern Warfare 1 & 2 are still my favourites of the CoD's...

Best Battlefield by far in my opinion.

COD 3 on the ps2 remains the only COD I've ever liked.
If they released zombies as a separate game with both online and offline portions to it, I would buy it.

I miss the dedicated servers I got playing Cod 4 with 25 player teams. And the power they had over game settings/restricting OP/troll weapons etc...
Also the Blops 3 world/story/gameplay feels to me as synthetic and cold as the robo-cops they call characters. AW I feel did the future theme best and had nice character customisation but was completely ruined by horribbly overpowered weapons and the jump boosts had too much speed.
I liked MW2 because I could run around stabbing people and throwing knives and be really competitive doing it, that was fun.
My absolute favourite part of CoD 'back in the day' was the absence of the Quickscoper Cancer of elitists and try-hards who claim being closer to your target makes it harder to shoot (?) and the maps were open enough to actually use a sniper rifle properly.

MW2 was my game! Still play it once in a while. I loved using shotguns (any except the AA) or the knife and play around my limited range. Having to fool people to kill them is the most satisfying I've ever experienced in a game.
