I've been loading up my helicopter with children I've knocked out using sleep gas. Great fun. This sentence alone is enough to make me want to sell my own grandmother to get this game :/

Quiet with suppressed tranqs. <3 Got this as well now, makes the whole game a lot easier. Not sure whether I like that or not. Anyway, gotta say that this is the best game I have ever played. Being a fan of the series helps, but I think anyone who likes stealthy action games will absolutely love this. References to other installments of the series are so cool. - edit: the spoiler tags on this forum are a little glitchy. Better not use them so I removed what was here. - I'm currently at 54%. Curious to see what the rest of the game brings.

Thought the game was over and I was gonna be like D: Quiet with suppressed tranqs is god mode. Biggest help at extracting those high level soldiers. Got bored of her so I am back to D Dog. Have not used D Walker yet. Also does anyone else deploy only at night and abuse the hell out of NVGs? I have not done too much play during daytime or without sneaking suit. Feel like I am missing out.

Have not used D Walker yet. Also does anyone else deploy only at night and abuse the hell out of NVGs? I have not done too much play during daytime or without sneaking suit. Feel like I am missing out. I pretty much always deploy at 18:00. Enemies all have NVGs and flashlights because of it. I've started doing daytime missions now for variety. D-Walker is cool but he's my least favourite buddy. For all the awesome hardware he has (fucking flamethrower is awesome!) I prefer the stealthy and brainy approach. All the buddies have their uses. Quiet - great for open areas. She was especially useful for getting those kids out of the mine and down that long narrow path full of enemies. Equip her with lethals rather than tranqs, send her to attack ahead. Done. Kids can just run through freely without worry. D-Dog - great for indoors and caves. Sneak in, woof, enemy spotted, woof, materials, woof, prisoner. Thanks doggy! D-Horse - need to travel a great distance in a short amount of time? He'll do. That's about as far as his usefulness goes though. D-Walker - not as fast as D-Horse but has 100x the firepower. The tranq abilities he has are kind of shit but the offensive weaponry is great for those missions where you absolutely positively gotta kill every motherfucker in your sights.

I don't really use the horse anymore, now that I have extracted an army of four wheel drives. Have yet to use D-Walker as a buddy.
I used the Dog for a long time, which is why it took so long to get the bond leven with Quiet gigh enough to get the suppressed rifle.
Btw, after you've finished part 1 of the story, some missions reappear in the list in different modes (noticed that mission 29 and 42 are the exact same, 42 simply being in Extreme Mode). Gave the sniper battle with Quiet in Extreme mode a go, but any time she hits you, it's game over. Very frustrating. Some other game modes as well, such as Subsistence (spawn in with nothing; no weapons, buddies or tools, except Fulton, for some reason. everything is procure on site) and Total Stealth, in which being spotted means game over, so no reflex to save you from an alert phase. Ofcourse these missions bring extra GMP. The story still continues after the credits roll, just as 'part 2'.
