[PC, Complete] 2015 GTA V Formula E Series

The Formula E Championship finally found its way into the San Andreas area. The first season will contain a series of 5 races, held every other week on Friday at 9 PM UTC. The first race is planned on Friday the 9th of October.

The track with the honor to host the first ever GTA V Formula E race will be in Fort Zancudo on Sugar_Free_Nos 's Through The Barracks. This track has proven its worth in the recent Multi Class Endurace Race. Will this provide an evenly exciting race for the Voltics? 

For our second stop we head into Los Santos for ovivoJR 's Grotti F1 Monaco track. This tight street circuit in the heart of Los Santos will guarantee a good racing environment with hopefully a lot of action!

For the third track, we've decided after reconsideration that the beautiful Zan Cudochamp circuit isn't the best competitive environment for Voltics (my sincere apologies, endersai ). It really is a shame because I do really like the track. So the search for a worthy replacement begins... EDIT:  We have signed a contract to hold the race at Oh_Darn's new track: Northern Terminal GP. This track will bring a lot of new challenges to the championship. Our second to last race will be held in the north in Paleto Bay on another of Ovivo's masterpieces, Grotti F1 Cluckin' Bell. This track will push the drivers to his limits on the bumpy roads of Paleto Bay. Who is the master of their car? Who can pull the victory across the line?

The last race in the first season is a surprise for everyone. The organizers are still in negotiation with several track owners to use their tracks. We will announce the final track as soon as it is known.

Sign ups and participation


Teams: You need to sign up for this event in parties of 2 players building 1 team, you are allowed to sign up without a teammate and find one later on. Each team is supposed to announce their name based on a GTA V Company and their business colors (i.e. orange/white). Both drivers need to have the same paintjob/livery on their cars. You can submit the team by sending me a PM with the drivers, teamname and colours. If I approve the combination, I will update the thread.

Cars: The only car that will be allowed in the series is the Coil Voltic or the Coil Voltic Topless. All upgrades are allowed. The only restriction is that the car has to have High End tires.

Reserves: If you are not able to participate in a race you are free to find a reserve driver. Make a post on the thread informing that you cant race and that you need a reserve driver. The reserve driver has to drive in your team colors. The amount of points scored by the reserve will not count towards the replaced driver, but WILL count towards the team totals.

Teamspeak: To participate in this event you need to join the NODO teamspeak server (Server: nodoteamspeak.servegame.com:10041 PW: nodo). You don’t need to talk but you have to be able to hear the announcement of the race official/pit watcher.

Racing regulations


Qualifying
The qualifying will be a short 5 lap race in non-contact mode prior to the race with a maximum amount of 12 drivers. If there are more participants, the group will be split in half to have two separate qualification sessions. After the qualification is done, the race official will work out the qualification results and call out the starting grid when finished. This is done to prevent someone's time not showing up after qualification.
 
Race
The laps per race is set so that the race will take approximately one hour. During the race, drivers must make one mandatory pit stop during the set 'pit window' in order to simulate the changing of cars (were still driving electric). This will work the same way as the Grotti F1 championship did their pit stops, just 10 seconds longer. So you proceed to the end of the pit lane where the pit watcher will inform you about the time based on the race clock where you are free to leave the pits.

Championship
The GTA Formula E Championship will consist of both a drivers- and a constructors championship. A driver's end of season total is made up of his/her best results less one. A team's total is made up by counting all scores during the season. In case of an equal amount of points, the fifth race will determine the overall champion.

Points
Drivers will score points using the standard FIA system of: 1st = 25pts, 2nd = 18pts, 3 = 15pts, 4th = 12pts, 5th = 10pts, 6th = 8pts, 7th = 6pts, 8th = 4pts, 9th = 2pts and 10th = 1pt. Three points will be awarded to the driver securing pole position, whilst the driver setting the fastest lap receives two points.
