Formula We-E (Endurance Pair Race 3)
Saturday 19th December 8pm UTC
Saturday 19th December 8pm UTC
Watching many WEC races have inspired me to create an event which requires teamwork as well as flat out speed. Following on from my previous 2 Endurance Pair Races, this will follow a theme and have a slightly different format. Overall, this will mean that the racing will be more exciting, and if a mistake is made, there will be time to recover. Unlike having 1 single race, there will be 2 different races, on 2 different tracks, using 2 different cars. These races will take place in 1 evening. The name is inspired by Formula E, an electric racing series, therefore we will be racing electric vehicles, Voltic and the Dilletante. The "We" part of the name is in reference to the team aspect of the event, as people will be racing with partners, the same idea as the previous Endurance Pair Races. This event will follow all of NoDo's Racing Guidelines, including the Blue Flag rule.
Tracks: Croq-a-Hoop Loop, The Yacht Club
Class: Compacts, Supers
Cars: Voltic, , Dilletante
Customs: Yes - a loud horn would be useful to worn others of your presence
Restricted Modifications: No Off-road tyres
Laps: Laps to amount to 30 minutes per race
Time: Current
Weather: Clear
The Voltic will be used on Croq-a-Hoop Loop. The Dilletante will be used on The Yacht Club.
Start Procedure:
This race will follow a traditional Le Mans Start. The cars will be organised into a randomised order (using random.org). Both drivers will start outside the car. The participants must run to their cars and jump in. Both drivers must be in the car before you set off.
Here is a video to show you what a traditional Le Mans start is!
Driver Swaps:
As per the nature of this event, there will be driver swaps. This will work by having certain windows of laps, in which the comes into the pits and comes to a complete stop. Once the car has stopped, both people must swap positions and then re-enter the car. When both drivers are in the car, they can leave the pitlane. Repair icons will be placed in the pitlane for people to use, as re-spawning is outlawed in this race.
