racing for me started when i played V8 Supercars 3 on the original Xbox and man that was fun. But absolute favourite game i played was either Racedriver Grid on 360 or F1 2011 on 360 those 2 were amazing for me Why F1 2011 and GRID? because those 2 are what helped me 2 race better and not crash someone at every single corner and F1 also showed me proper racing.

All the Console Need for Speed since Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit all the way through Need for Speed 2015, Project Gotham Racing 2 for Xbox original, All the Midnight Clubs, Gran Turismo 3 through 6, Drive Club, The Crew, Mario Kart, and the 2006 Fast and Furious game that tied in with Tokyo Drift, Choro-Q, Road Trip, Cruis'n, Gadget Racers, Grid, Test Drive 1 and Tect Drive Off-Road Wide Open. I know there is one I am missing, but I can not for the life of me remember the name of it, it is like Gran Turismo, but the box art featured a Girl in a fire suit, and a Yellow Dodge Viper GTSR.

Most of the driving games I've played a lot of:
-NFS 3 -All of the PS2 Burnout games -NFSU2 -Every Midnight Club game -Gran Turismo 3-5 -Driver 1, DRIV3R, and Driver SF -GTA 1,2,3,VC,SA,LCS,VCS,IV,TLAD,TBOGT,V -All of the ATV Offroad Fury games -One of the early 2000's NASCAR games, can't remember which but it was my first experience at endurance racing with those 4 hour, 500 lap or so races... - Twisted Metal 1, 2 and Black -NFS Carbon -NFS Prostreet
Turns out I played many more than I thought...
My favorites are definitely:

ExciteBike is easily one of my top ten favorite games to this day, if only through the lens of nostalgia - that being said I've still gone back and plugged in the NES at least once a year to play this and other old titles with my brother and friends. It's just pure fun - or insanity - if you've ever seen any of my custom courses. It's kind of amazing to me now that it even had such a creator.. definitely won the game some high marks in my mind! The only Pole Position I've actually played was for the 2600 and my time on that system was spent usually with Super Breakout or Combat. I'm also reminded of another title - not exactly racing but certainly car oriented - called Car Builder. It's listed all over as a DOS title but I still have the 5 1/4" disks for my Apple II/e ;oD It was super high-tech with wind tunnel testing, dyno and road tests and everything!

It's kind of amazing to me now that the game even offered a 'freeform' creator.. definitely won the game some high marks in my mind! The only Pole Position I've actually played was for the 2600 and my time on that system was spent usually with Super Breakout or Combat. Those old games are good fun, there was another one I used to play that was too damn difficult for me to beat. I spent all my time in it's track building, trying to make a track I could actually win at. I remember it was a PS1 Rallying game. Let me try to google it... Here it is, Rally Cross 2 by 989 Studios: If I remember correctly, they also made some weird hoverbike racing game for the ps1 as well as Coolboarders, a snowboarding game that was really fun. 989 also made Twisted Metal according to google, so damn, they were a good studio. Okay, wow, I found it. It was called Jet Moto:

Never owned a PS.. by that time I was well into being a PC addict enthusiast and had all but forsaken consoles. Shame cause I know I missed out on a lot of great titles, at least for their day. I knew I recognized that studio name, thanks for pre-satisfying my curiosity, haha.
