I don't mind the random system. Saves time. And I trust Ender doenst cheat with it.
But if you must have some kind of reverse grid thing at least adopt the GP2 system where only the top 8 are reversed and they stay top 8. The rest starts as they finished the race before.
I'll probably be one of the slowest drivers as i was last season. I have no business starting on pole everytime.

Reading this thread makes me pretty damn angry. How pathetic can you be that you even THINK of manipulating the system in a game. Do you have any fucking pride? To get a lower position in a computer game so you can eventually get passed by more people in the second race? Because that is what's going to happen 9/10 times. I know from myself that I will fight for every position, may it be for 1st or 21st, I dont give a shit, I want to finish as high as fucking possible. I couldnt care less about my starting position for the second race. Dont give me the shit that I'm one of the faster guys, and won the last season, I am aware of that. The way of thinking of some of you is just outright stupid. Now give me all the shit you got, i'm ready. I think it's pretty normal to discuss pro and contra of the new grid/qualifying system. It added another point where you'll have to trust people and where there might be drama, that's why it's being discussed. It changed from a "can we trust the host to honestly do random grids" to "can we trust the 11th to 24th drivers to keep fighting even if it might mean a disadvantage for the next race". I've only been a follower of season 2 but i kept seeing suggestions that grids may be rigged, whether it was just a joke or not, it'd bother me if i was endersai. I don't see where you read that anyone wants to abuse the system, we're just worried that someone might. Or that there'll be drama about it even if noone is abusing it. That's also why i suggested a qualifying for 2nd race, because if someone chokes or anything, he got only himself to blame and the qq would be of a much different kind. I do see how another qualifying might strech the whole thing oou too much though, especially considering how many people have problems staying in a racelobby without dc. I'm sorry; nobody suggested the grids were rigged. Not seriously anyway.

I'm sorry; nobody suggested the grids were rigged. Not seriously anyway. Well it's good to hear it didn't bother you. It would've bothered me as the host, whether it was meant seriously or not. What was the reason for the change then? Just that people qq'd about having bad luck and calling it not fair?

Just that people qq'd about having bad luck and calling it not fair? the reason were changing is that me (nr1)and Ovivo (nr2) only seen each other on track maybe twice throughout the 10 races Ovivo participated. This is because we started so far apart due to the random grids.

Reading this thread... Looking forward to watching the series unfold for a third time. I think whatever changes are implemented are done so with the goal of keeping it interesting for the competitors. If anyone else plans on making post-race videos (i.e. similar to ovivo's), I'd like to know. Best of luck to all the competitors!

The only time I ever re-randomised a grid was when I was randomly on pole, to avoid any suggestion of bias or the like. As it is with probability, you will had X% chance of starting in position Y, next to driver Z a few races in a row. Ovivo and Nos ended up side by side because of retirements etc a fair bit, which you will note he comments on in the videos.
So the change to quali was that I feel the event can handle it now, and I feel that basically what happens is that the order more or less sorts itself out anyway - the front runners hit the front, the mid field stay mid field, and slower drivers fall to the back. What I'm now doing is basically giving Ovivo, Darn, Stepa, Cloud, Doom, and Chilli the chance to fight at the front, and the rest behind that. I also give the back markers a shot at points with the reverse grid, and some battles for the front runners as they make their way up through the pack.
Sadly, or perhaps not, I'm quite looking forward to it. I think the changes - standardised cars via downgrade (we will be able to release the new pace of the Comet shortly, I think, with Surano and V12 Schafter to follow!), the introduction on a test basis of the Obey 9F, the quali grid, the new Verlierer... these will enhance the series even more. We've got some good new blood into the event - St0cking, Jeffrey, novesori, Bebbo, StoryVS, Chill, with Ganjalo returning after missing S2 - which also helps.
Yeah. S3 will be good.

I will be able to join, possibly not on the first event but every other one should be fine provided I don't have anything else going on. Of course, that is provided someone wants to team up with me lol.
Did you want to join up with CHill?

Well, we have 3 spots - 1 team of 2 drivers or a teammate to Chill - left before the event is full so jump in quickly!
UPDATES UPDATES UPDAAAAAATES
Pfister Comet The Comet's downgrades are Engine Level 2 and Transmission Level 3. This does not mean the car is available to anyone yet; it just means if you're thinking of taking this fine piece of curb boosting cake (ovivoJR ) you can start doing practice with the car at this level. It was tested by Darn, Doom, Ovivo and Grim prior to the banhammer and found to be on Banshee pace.
Now for some fluff as to why it's slower this year...
Pfister Racing Team
Following recent EU and US government probes into parent company Bürgerfahrzeug, Pfister has suspended much of its involvement with the San Andreas Touring Car Championship, just weeks after taking the double title.
Bürgerfahrzeug President Hans Gutenevil was forced to step down in shame and with a pitiful severance package of only €80,000,000. His replacement, Dr Wolfgang Überfantastisch, was the head of Pfister and the man credited with increasing sales of Comets in North America tenfold. Dr Überfantastisch indicated that Pfister will not enter a factory team for Season 3, though Pfister will supply customer teams with cars.
"Ze issues with ze Bürgerfahrzeug engines und emissions is for sure regrettable," Dr Überfantastisch said in an interview with CNT News. "Ve are of course cooperating wis ze relevant aw-thorities. But of course zis means our racing engine dewelopment is suspended und our cars likely not on ze same pace as zey vere in Season Zwei."
Pfister Racing Team Principal, Mr Dennis Ron, announced in response that he had come to an arrangement with Dr Überfantastisch, Pfister and Bürgerfahrzeug under which Mr Ron and Endersai would purchase the racing team in a management buy out. The pit crews, strategists, aerodynamicists and other technical personnel would fall under the umbrella of Mr Ron's other company, Progen.
"Obviously Progen only has one car in the market now, the T20." Said Dennis Ron in a statement. "And that car is not consistent with SATCC Regulations. But Progen is more than just a car maker. We have been racing for decades and built up a degree of technical acumen that only Grotti might rival. Our engineering and practical solutions are famous in racing and outside of it. Our headquarters, just outside London in Woking, is hard at work on the chassis we have purchased and the car we have assembled for Season 3.
With the reigning champion in our midst, Progen is determined to win a back to back title.
