I will get to the news in a moment. But, before I do, I'd like to formally introduce myself (so that you can know a bit about me) and explain my situation to those who do not know. Obviously, my name is Andy. I'm turning 21 on August 16th. I'm an American and I live in Pennsylvania. Grand Theft Auto V is the first game I've played in quite some time. When I hit 16, I got my first job as a dishwasher. Did that for about a year. My life turned into high school and work. Once I graduated, I got a better job through a Co-Op program I was doing in high school (I was doing electronics). I'll tell you, I loved that job! The only thing that sucked was the 50 minute commute to work every day. Now, here's the thing...
I got laid off from that job about a month before my 19th birthday. It sucks when you do something you love and you can't go into work the next day. However, I was only laid off for a few months. They called me back under a different department and a different position. I liked doing that as well. Unfortunately, I was laid off from that position as well. I was laid off for 6 months, but got called back again. During that time, I thought to myself, "I can't keep doing this. I can't work when it's busy and sit around and do nothing the rest of the time." So whenever I got called back, I was looking into getting a government job. I'm not allowed to go into detail about it or anything like that. I did get that job and left the place I was at. Made a lot of good friends and learned a lot of things.
At the government job, I was there about a year. Yet again, I was laid off from this job June 2014. Also, to note, I was also doing a second part-time job at a t-shirt place for a month. Was laid off from there on 12/24/13. Merry fucking Christmas (XD)! Now thankfully, the company said they will relocate me, I just have to undergo another investigation. And now it's August of 2014. And...
Good news everyone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2BNmn8TYdE)! Yesterday, I got the best phone call of my life! I've been hired and am starting soon! Now, the start date they want me to start at is August 18th. I asked if it could be possible to push it back a week to the 25th (due to my family taking vacation a few days actually starting on the 18th). They said that shouldn't be a problem, but they'd get back to me on that. Now here comes the bad news...
I've signed up for some racing events (http://www.nodo.freeforums.net/thread/496/novice-multi-class-endurance-playlist and nodo.freeforums.net/thread/415/creators-choice-playlist). If I do end up needing to start on the 18th, I may not be able to do these events :-(. It depends on what time I get out. You see, UK time is 5 hours ahead of me (so if it's 4pm here it's 9pm in UK). I will keep you updated with the start date and time as soon as it becomes available.
Finally, sorry for the long winded explanation and my life's story. But, just know this: No matter what happens in life, you've got to keep moving forward. I don't know if anyone can relate, but I'm a young man and I want to work and give myself a good life (and part of that is being with the best Crew with the best Crew members, Nonchalant Dominance :] ). From 16 up til 20, I strayed away from video games. Now that I've gotten back into them, I actually do consider myself a casual gamer now. It's strange, you know? When I was younger, my life was mainly video games. I do still love video games, but as you get older they tend to stray away just a bit. Or, maybe it's just me.
Hey, if you read through all this, thanks and have a great day and good rest of your summer! :-)
