Sports classics are so expensive. Id suggest coupes use broughys videos as reference and use the fastest, the slowest and the middle car agreed

I've update the OP with the date, class and cars we will be using. I chose for the coupe class because the cars are cheap, aren't that far apart from each other and are fun to drive.
The track we will be racing on isn't decided yet. If someone has a race or knows a good race that would fit for an event like this please post below. On sunday i'll make a playlist of all the submitted tracks and run it with other crew members, together we will decide which track it will be. There will a one week time to practice it.
And last but not least, do you guys want to include the racing team aspect again or not?

Just my own personal input, with all other events we've used teams so for this event I'd like it to be "every man for himself" so to say.
EDIT: My work schedule will be Mon-Sat so I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend on the 30th or not :-(. I'll keep you updated. 8pm UK time would be 3pm for me and I'd still have a few hours of work.

I will be joining in group 1.
Just one thing: Schwartzer is in the sports class.
Maybe the jackal or f620? Those are in the middle of the stock coupes.

I also have a question. On the straights are you allowed one defensive move and then stick to your lane or you have to keep the same lane all the time?

@oapelescentfalcon When you are on a straight you need to stick to the racing line when you're on it, if someone faster is coming through he will need to pass you. But you can't begin to block him by going all over the lanes. Accidents will happen

OpalescentFalcon I do that a lot because I watch F1 so I tend to base my racing off of their rules. I think a lot, if not everyone in this crew (on the forum at least) does too. The one annoyance though is that in those rules you can make one defensive move but still ease back towards the regular line, and that is when I'm on the receiving end of most of the pit moves (accidental) that I do, because the person trying to overtake does not yield and wait for another chance. They have been out played using racing knowledge and racecraft yet still attempt the overtake. For example, I can move to the inside on a straight to take a defensive line but once that move is made I can slowly move back over to the regular racing line as long as I leave at least one cars width on the outside of me. Not exactly the best place to put this, but the subject was brought up so I though I'd give as in depth an answer as possible ♛ZeNzI23 Personally I would change the OP section about sticking to your lines on a straight. If everyone did that it would be physically impossible to overtake anyone unless they make a mistake in a corner and run wide or something. There is more than one racing line and just because one line is a defensive one that doesn't mean it isn't a racing line. The whole reason this crew on the whole loves contact racing is because of attacking and defending. It's basically saying you will be rewarded for just letting the car behind past you without giving them a proper race and giving them the challenge to get past you cleanly Just something to think about zenzi

I generally make one change of direction before the brake phase to show my intentions. None of this weaving business

double_s92 I don't mean weaving left and right at all. It's hard to explain but I'll try again lol. Say for example I'm on a straight, the next turn is a right and someone is behind me. I choose to go in the middle (the defensive line) of the track and not all the way to the left (the racing line). Once I am there it is obvious what my intentions are. I am then allowed to slowly (not suddenly, and I am not weaving, I am gradually moving right to left over a long distance) move back over towards the racing line preventing an easy overtake as long as I leave the width of a car to the left of me. As the car in front it is not up to me to make sure I don't hit you by defending, it is up to the car behind not to hit me by attacking. I leave a cars width to the left so there is space for them on track, yet people still turn in (way too early anyway) and pit me even though I am ahead of them. That is the fundamentals of defending an overtake on a straight (not 100% sure in other motor sports because I only follow F1). And if you do manage to get past me round the outside then I yield and you have successfully overtaken me. Rules in racing are always, If you're front wheels are ahead of mine, that is your line and I am in no right to attack. I brake, you go through and I challenge you somewhere else on the track. The thing with racing is that almost everything is open to interpretation, especially with this game and the differences on two peoples screens. So yeah, If we are racing and anyone reading this is going for an overtake on me at some point, just know that this is how I defend my position and I will always try my best to make you work hard for your overtake I am happy to take this debate elsewhere if you don't want me cluttering your thread ♛ZeNzI23
