Is anyone else as hyped for the Olympics as much as I am? I generally don't like sports, but I always watch the Olympics, since Bejing 08

I like watching certain sports. Wouldn't say I'm super hyped, but it'll be nice to have something else to watch.

Speaking of Rio, I'd much rather have Brazil postpone the Games until they can get a handle of their outbreak situation. Unfortunately though, I think they only see green so they will push to keep it on schedule instead of cancelling or even postponing...

Yeah, Zika is really taking over in Brazil, but even before that I felt like Brazil wasn't too much of a proper place to host an Olympics because of the poverty in certain parts of the country

I'm very hyped for the cycling and mountainbike disciplines. And how the belgians do it in general.

They can spend the money elsewhere on things to improve their own situation, but all they can think about is how much money they can bring in. Surprisingly enough though, in Brazil's case, I still don't think they'll make much money because of this outbreak.

I don't think there's even been a country that has profited from an Olympics in the short term, its costs a lot to host and build the stadiums

I'm obviously not as hyped as I was for London 2012 but I'm still looking forward to it. Love watching it, and the winter Olympics maybe even more so.

Boston was trying to do 2024, and they would've held the boating events in the river near my college. Wouldve been dope, but Boston is just a terrible city for any kind of event besides Baseball and Hockey
