So anyone been into this or other PC sim racing games? I've been wanting to get a racing wheel for a while and get into games like these. But it's straight up more fun with friends. I don't know to much about iRacing so does anyone have good information on it, it's always looked awesome!

Yeah I'm familiar with the channel. Just always open to play any racing games out there is all.

I'm looking into racing wheels as well, but I'm not trying to sell my car to get one either. Although that might be the only option seeing all of the prices.

I have the MadCatz force feedback wheel - there's no clutch like some wheels have, but I prefer using the paddle shifters anyway, and the company's warranty/repair policy is very good. Forza isn't Forza without a proper wheel, definitely recommended (and don't even consider a wheel without force feedback - pointless!).

I was looking at the HORI Racing Wheel EX2. Reviews are ok and the price is good.

I was looking at the HORI Racing Wheel EX2. Reviews are ok and the price is good. The only review I found ends with "I can't recommend this product to anyone it makes driving games harder and much less fun. I am incredibly disappointed after looking forward to having a racing wheel and would really appreciate a refund."

Haha. I found better ones. Might take a leap of faith.

Yeah no point to not having a force feedback wheel, but I would want a clutch i think to.

So I watch another youtuber do racing videos and he is playing Assetto Corsa in his most recent video he said multiplayer is coming on May 2nd. Hes no Broughy in terms of skill but if you want to check out the video www.youtube.com/watch?v=843ZwwWx_A4 Like I said hes not a great racer but its HQ video of the game while using the racing wheel and manual tranny. At the very least if you have a PC you can see the game before you buy it. The wheel he uses is the Logitech G27, idk if its a good wheel or not honestly I dont play PC games.

I bought a G27 a couple weeks ago actually, and I already own Assetto Corsa.

G27 is the best wheel you can get for the money. Driving Force GT is also good but has no clutch or H shifter. I've been playing iRacing for a few weeks, defeinitely worth the subscription money. Easily the best not only simulator, but also racing game that's out there. Not sure that I will still be playing in a year though. I am going to make the most out of the stock tracks and vehicles, possibly even buy a Star Mazda. But the simple fact is that you can't go far into the game without dropping a ton more cash on tracks.
Edit: I also have a second hand wheel that is frustrating to play with sometimes, not sure if I have the money to replace it. Assetto Corsa is a good deal for the money compared to other sims. Force feedback is shit compared to iRacing. Physics are a little different, my guess goes to less accurate if only because of how many different cars they try to simulate. Online racing is a joke compared to iRacing. But you buy it once and you have all the tracks and cars. And you can race any car and track any time you want, you're not following iRacing's schedule.
