Negative criticism and hate even has dominated the Formula 1 world the last few years. Apparently everything about the sport is terrible because I rarely hear anything positive these days. As far as I am concerned there are a few positive changes happening this year but people dont seem to talk about them as much for some reason. Renault are coming back as a full-fledged manufacturer team, new american team called Haas which has already had succes in other motorsport is joining supplied with solid hardware, German GP is back as well as a new street circuit at Baku increasing the total races to 21, pace gaps between the cars are probably going to be smaller because of the development curve, even the engines are a bit louder!
I am not claiming that Formula 1 doesnt need changes but this is by far the most complicated sport in the world so finding the perfect formula is basicaly impossible, the important thing is that changes are beeing made for the better.
So if you are a Formula 1 fan like me and enjoy discussing about the technology and innovations race between the teams, the in-track racing between some of the world's fastest racing drivers, the psycology wars, the circuits or anything related to F1 feel free share your thoughts down below.
p.s. please keep it constructive

You cant fault them for trying something different with Q3. It didnt work out and will be changed back, not a big deal in my oppinion.
But ever since they got rid of refueling the whole thing kind of went down hill. It made race strategy so much easier, because you can change it mid race without big penalties. That lead to the team with the best car dominating everybody and it was all about tire management and not fast driving.
I'm still watching it, but I can understand the people who say that it got boring. I also like the technologic aspect and from what I've seen so far I would to agree that this season is an improovement compared to the last.

Cool race, I think this will be a very interesting season. Great perfomance by Grosjean and the Haas team, shame that Vettel was on a wrong strategy he had good potential to win.
I cant get my head around how arrogantly the new quali format was decided, eveyone knew it was going to be like that, trial and error is good but there has to be a level of responsibility as well, at least they will change it I guess.

Yes, did you see Sky Sports talk to Niki Lauda about the new quali? It was put to them in a format that only Christian Horner liked, by Bernie, which was P1 in quali starts P10 on grid (that'll work, for sure) and so they decided on this as the lesser of all other evils.
Pity that Nico Rosberg won; he's one of the least likable drivers on the grid. A spoiled rich kid who harbours an illusion he could be a world champion. I would have liked to have seen Vettel win; and it was really nice to see him and Webber on the podium bantering. After reading Webber's autobiography and hearing him talk about them since it's clear they've as much as possible moved on and seem to get along.
Ricciardo had a great race; the 2014 disqualification was rubbish and shouldn't have harmed him (but it did) so 4th remains the highest finish of an Australian at their home GP (Webber's best was 5th; Melbourne was never his circuit).
Max was not a happy boy yesterday, and when other drivers have a bit of a wobbly - Kimi, Fernando - it's fine. When Max does it, tut tut he's still very young. Ridiculous; he was much quicker than Sainz Jr and demonstrated that with how quickly he passed Palmer.
Impressive result for Haas on debut; if only Americans can be weened of shitty oval racing to Formula 1 in significant numbers...

It looked like Sainz was focusing more on keeping Verstappen behind him, than trying to overtake other cars.
It's a shame that the red flag and a strategic miscalculation ruined Vettel's chance for winning the race.

Fans aren't important to F1 Chris. It's all about what brings in the most money for Bernie, and that's keeping the promoters happy as they pay him to host their races. If they lose interest in the sport he loses money, that's all there is to it.

There was a youtube channel called formulaone(e)board showing the highlights of all races, onboard footage only, no commentary but it was terminated due to copyrights like a day ago, bad luck

So the race was pretty good in China, except Nico Rosberg didn't crash and explode into flames. That would have really been a good outcome if he had.

Daniil Kyvat has now compromised races for both himself and Daniel, as well as taking out the drivers of the most politically significant team in the form of Scuderia Ferrari.
So... he needs to go. Max Verstappen has proven himself and should be pushed up to the Red Bull Racing team.
