Anyone planning on getting it? Heard it's somewhat similar to GoW-style of play, but haven't seen it for myself. A coworker has had beta access and says it's pretty badass. We'll see. I'll probably be picking it up on Tuesday...

I've been looking forward to this game quite a while, seems really cool.
I've heard though that it was only online, which is a shame in my eyes. If you have the game, inform us!

I would love to play this game. But I don't have time to play it and I don't know anyone who will be playing it.

Did anybody say GoW? GoW 4 lyf You, I like you. Someone told me it has cover-based shooting but with Tom Clancy game-styled low health that gets annoying, I dunno much else, or if I would agree seeing as I don't have it. Although I think generally Ubisoft's shooters I've tried have lured me in with good adertising and been disappointing to actually play.... so I'm hoping this might be an exception.

I have played the open beta (although demo is probably a better description as it was very restricted). I wasn't particularly impressed by Ubisoft open world game 731, also known as the division. As far as the beta allowed me to play the campaign, I was not impressed by by the story and I think the rest of the game is quite like Far Cry Primal (upgrading you Base and that open world busy work). The gameplay was decent but almost ridiculously easy (at least on pc with mouse and keyboard). Of course you have to decide yourself whether or not you want to buy the game, but I would not recommend it if you expect something different from all the other open world Ubisoft titles.

Not a bad game imo. I didn't even realize it was a Ubisoft game until I put in the CD. I previously played Watch Dogs from Ubisoft and I wasn't a big fan of the game. Bad driving mechanics and physics overall, but there were some elements I liked in that game, which are also featured in this game to some extent. I still feel a sense of restriction with the mechanics of The Division's "open world." However, I think it's also because I've been spoiled with GTA, being able to walk, run, jump, drive, and fly everywhere. I have no regrets of buying the game, but I'm hoping the Season Pass DLC doesn't disappoint...

I got online for a little bit before work today. Upped conversion costs for crafting parts. 5 Div parts for next level, 10 green parts for 1 blue, and 15 blue for 1 orange. Steep. Interested to try out the different gear classes and other new stuff.
