Okay it's time. I should be live streaming more and I love multi-class endurance racing, both watching and participating in real life and on GTA. Time to get something moving.
This is going to be the official Nonchalant Dominance Multi-Class Endurance Championship. There will be 7 rounds, each with a different racing class and set vehicles, spread across three tracks. There will always be 8 "fast" cars and 8 "slow" cars, and the races will be held at the same time every week. There will also be a team championship and driver championships for each class. More details below.
Time of races - 6pm meet for 6:30pm start for xbox, 8pm meet for 8:30pm start for PS3. All times are UK time (work out your time using this as a reference: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/uk/london)
Race Length - Number of laps equivalent to an approximate 1 hour race in the fastest car present.
Race Calendar
Team Rules - Those who want to enter must first sign up. Teams will then be assigned completely randomly. No seeding, no choosing. It's all random. The two people in each team should then get together and decide who is going to race the faster cars and who will race the slower cars. Once this decision has been made it will remain the same for the entire championship. Person A can't race a Blista in round 3 then a Bullet in round 4. Obviously all the usual stuff will be expected like matching colours, photos, team names, etc to bring the championship alive.
Championship Points - There will be three championship tables. One for those in the faster cars, one for those in the slower cars, and one team table. Points will be awarded based on finishing position in class only and each race will have two winning drivers and a winning team. The championship will have the same outcome. If a team member is unavailable someone else can be brought in for a maximum of two rounds (basically if you know you can't make it to a few rounds don't sign up) and they will score points for their team of that week. They are also free to fill in at other teams and be in whatever class is needed. These free agents basically would have no chance in either drivers championship but allow a team to continue to gain points if there are any last minute issues (having said that theoretically a free agent could place high in a drivers championship if he raced every week for various teams and always in the same class). Best 6 out of 7 results count for the drivers and team's championships. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st: 12, 2nd: 9, 3rd: 7, 4th: 5, 5th: 4, 6th: 3, 7th: 2, 8th: 1
Disconnections - Yep, they're a nightmare, but this is an endurance race so it's the game's way of introducing natural car reliability issues. Let's put it that way haha. Anyway those who disconnect will still be given points based on when they disconnected. So if 5 people in one class finish a race, the person who disconnected last would be classified 6th with the person disconnecting first classified 8th. We'll also find the person with the best upload speed who isn't me and let them host.
Live Stream - I enjoy racing and watching these, so I'm going to be spectating on the PS3 and participating on the 360. The entirety of the four hour session will be streamed every week, though not sure anything will make it onto youtube just yet.
