I'm creating a new track at the moment and was wondering, what is the best way to block people from cutting corners, preferably with one prop? Like, which prop is best for the purpose, and where exactly do I have to place it in the corner? Is there even a "single best" way to do so, or are there just a bunch of options I have where each option has its own pros and cons?

I think 'Cutting Coroners GP' is a good example of how to do it. So with tire stacks and a concrete striped block at apexes and anywhere you want people to stay on the road. And this is an example of how I did it. So far as I raced with others on the track it seem to work as intended. At least have a tire stack or other good visible prop at apexes. socialclub.rockstargames.com/games/gtav/pc/jobs/job/_cgyhN3PkkGh05_skEXrlQ

Don't use tires barriers, stacks or lines on the apex, because they're sticky. If people hit them they will stick to the prop while standing on the racing line. You can use alot of props as long as they aren't sticky or are to high so they block the view into the corner.

I myself don't like other kind of props on circuit-like tracks. OP wants people not cheating corners, sticky tire stacks is a good penalty for hitting them

Have barriers that glance you off of them rather than stop you dead in the place you hit them, this gets the car that hit the barrier away from the racing line keeping the track clear.

Use your checkpoint placement so that you can't cut the corner. Then use 1 or fore props to define the apex (if needed) in case it's a track without a natural defined apex. Beware of not placing a diagonal prop in the corner, if people hit it they'll most likely stop completely and cause a dangerous situation if other drivers is behind.
Try to create round'ish corners that lead crashing cars to the side of the track.

Personally I despise apex barriers, they make me drive far too cautiously and are over-punishing, but if I find it's absolutely necessary to add them, I like using the round hay bales (cattle feeders also sometimes); you just bounce right off, and because they're round the angle and severity of impact depends on how far you try cut (if you just hit it you'll be less likely to completely wreck). Also they make a lovely rustling noise when you hit them :3

Also they make a lovely rustling noise when you hit them :3 Concrete pipe, Caddle feeder are both horrible props to use for this (imo). They are both round but the radius if the cylinder that they form is way to small. In the perfect GTA game we'd be able to have props that perfectly follow the optimal racing line but as this isn't possible what I try to do is combining smaller props into template that have a round'ish shape, and then use those for the inside. I have only done this with containers but I'm sure that there are many different prop combinations that can be used to achieve this.

If the corner is a bit wide I'll also try round it, I don't particularly favour the cattle feeders and the concrete pipe is terrible because it has a square hitbox instead of a round one.

First of all, thanks for all the suggestions^^ I tried around a bit and these are the options I came up with (Since props are sadly not unlimited I can only use one prop for each corner): 1."Classic", good for making the apex visible, maybe the most dangerous option 2."Classical with late Barrier", gives the corner a nice, wide feel to it but takes a little getting used to 3."Angled Barrier", allows risk free cornering, but stops cars completely that try to cut in even more 4."Round Prop". on the picture is pretty much the only round prop in the game (thx to masterferret for the idea)...its round, which is perfect but its a little hard to spot since it has no bright color So, which of these options should I use? As you can see I'm in Sandy Shores where there are a lot of bushes in the corners so especially the round prop has visibility issues...
