Hey endersai , if at all possible I'd like to retire to the pitbox at the start of the race so I can spectate. Don't really want to join in the actual race since I have only played the game for an hour or so and I'm pretty sure I'd be in the way more than I'll actually race... =P You don't enjoy being a moving roadblock?

You don't enjoy being a moving roadblock? Or a driving chicane It's not that I don't enjoy it, but more that I don't feel like people blaming me for their chokes =P Plus playing a moving roadblock would mean that I can only spectate people when they lap me, which is bad for learning purposes.

Dafuq you mean, why do I practice a certain view? Everyone has their own preference and you said nothing about using a specific view.

endersai what will be the assist settings for the race?
Full - inc stability control.
If I'm driving my car at a track, I can feel the back end stepping out. I can feel when the wheels are up on the strips, etc. The sim can't replicate that so it'll stay on. Let people spin from aggression, not from a variable level of friction between two different surfaces and the rear wheels that the application of torque just fucks up.
Penalties - off but still enforceable. So drivers should stick to the track limits and will be called by others if they violate them.
WHICH MEANS people need to learn how to drive the GT3 line if they're going wide. And I'd recommend practice with penalties on to assist you in learning that line.
I want to run bots, just to pad out the grid, but we're not.

When I did the simulator at Maranello, it had the full gimbal setup and you could feel the push/pull factor properly.
We don't have that. we have people with controllers.
It's as real as it can be.
Also, have you driven the RUF CTR? (aka Yellowbird)?
Bloody hell it's a handful. You basically need to brake hard including engine break, turn in, and use the ridiculous power to fly off on the straights.

That was a fun race with some very useful test results. I found my strategy, got very consistent lap times and only made 1 mistake, which is still 1 too many ofcourse...
Also, Iceman figured out that 12+12 =/= 30, found out 4 pit stops isn't optimal for the overall pace and got the fastest lap by 1,3 seconds.
Pezby was the consistent scrub he always is and finished in second.
What kebab was doing? I dont know. Probably massively distracted by his twitch chat because of a broughyraid.
Grim and Cloud unfortunately didnt make it to the finish.
