ok so have done a lot of reading from extant project CARS leagues about how they run things and if we find we enjoy this race and it's a tight battle and all that, we could look to expand it to a 6 race mini-season in between events like SATCC.
The idea would be as follows:
Tracks: Hockenheim Monza (don't say it Pez) Catalunya Nurburgring Spa-Francorchamps Silverstone
Tyre wear would be x2. I'm still thinking of x2 for this race because it will ensure people pit. It will also make people think about the medium (or hard) compound rather than just softs.
Cars would be pre-selected teams based on the capacity to have 2 drivers in a team with visually distinct livery. That way all the cars would be in theory represented. And it also stops people from just picking the most OP of cars, like the AM V12.
So, RUF (Skydive Dubai 1 and 2); 2 x McLaren teams (McLaren Racing 1 & 2, Hexis Racing 1 & 2); Mercedes AMG (AMG GT3 1 and 2); 2 x BMW teams (BMW Motorsports 1 & 2, and NVIDIA Racing 1 & 2 for the Z4); 2 x Bentley (Bentley Racing 1 & 2 and HTP 1 &2) etc.
At least one race would be wet and another would be "random weather".

I might switch my car choice to the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, #31 red, white, blue livery. I like the BMW M3 but the fact that we're using real assists (traction control and ABS only), the M3 doesn't have either of those and it's a bit of a handful without them. The SLS AMG is a bit more stable and it's got the power on the straights to remain really competitive. I've already been able to hit a 2.18.9 with the real assists. I'll let you know if I really do want to change. At this point I'm leaning towards changing. Team up? As long as you give up your obsession with using no assists. At least use the realistic ones of traction control and abs. But yeah we can team up.

Only has one team livery, and I'm concerned from all my research so far that the AM V12 is considered far too overpowered. I think in the interests of an actual season long fight it should be excluded and if someone's very loyal to the Aston badge, they take the V8 GTE instead.

News from BMW Z4 Private Testing..
Ran a 30 minute race with bots on 85% and i started last (Finished first by 14 seconds). 30 minute race i did 13 laps before time ran out,,lap 14 was completed as part of the race as i had already started the lap before time expired. No Pits were taken as you can not force mandatory pit stops on races with a set time as apposed to XX Lap races.
If we run tires at normal wear ,, then run a XX Lap race to set a mandatory pit. If we run tire wear at 2x ,, then it would be fine to set it to a 1 hour timed race as tires will probablly wear out.
The other concern BMW testing has is if we run with no penalties,, how are bust stop chicane and some other parts of the track where cutting corners is faster going to be enforced. Gentlemans agreement to not cheat ? Call out those who do it on purpose ? The only part i see where the peanlties are stupid is the first section up the hill. BMW always tries to stay within track limits ,at the expense of speed, unless forced wide by bots.
I know there will be a qualifying session,, so to those drivers who run some turns at higher speeds and exceed track limits,,your lap times will always be invalidated, meaning you wont set lap times.
BMW will be testing this 2x tire wear later tonight.

Sorry, but I pick speed over stability every time. I just need more practice. If you drive the cars properly,, you lose little to no speed using the ABS and Traction control. I still hit 270km/h no problem. I found this of Benimi using more speed than stability. Then watching the rest of the race from the pits. Then there was this incident of Benimi,, again using no stabilty control and causing issues for other drivers around him. So stability control not only keeps Benimi on the track,, but makes his car more predictable for other drivers around him.

Ok, so
The bus stop chicane at turns 19 and 20 is very hard to gain significant time from, as they have put in speed humps which, if taken too quickly, are likely to spin the car out as you put down spinning near tyres on a gripping surface. It will also wear the tyres more, so the 2-3/10ths of a second you gain there come with significant cost.
Also, it has to be noted that the chicane area is purposefully designed as a run off because you are at >250km/h in 6th gear after going through Blanchimont. You may easily lock up and go too deep, in which case you'd continue forward to the straight which is a safer point to rejoin. You will notice les Combes, the chicanes at the end of Kemmel straight, have the same speed humps.
The main risk here is a speed penalty for cutting Radillion, otherwise I'd have penalties on. For the full race season we will definitely have them plus full damage - lol at someone with 0% brake duct and radiator for aero who explodes on a 1hr race.
I would say, if we see someone go a little too quickly through the busstop on the minimap, on screen or on spectate and we don't see the cloud of smoke from their tyres as they locked up and went deep, we agree to add 5seconds to their time. I can guarantee on an outlap, if I've not got heat into my brakes and they've been cooled down running from Stavelot through Blanchimont, I will probably go deep that level. I can also promise there will be smoke from those screaming tyres.
gentlemen's agreement + time penalty for infractions.

[pic] It is not about the top speed, it is about the acceleration, which is really heart me, because my driving style is based on that. To not block the wheels during breaking is really easy if you are pay a bit of attention. And it makes your car "turnable" during braking. The lack of TC is harder to drive, but throttle control should be second nature.

How many laps on x2 tyre wear can you get through without needing to put a fresh set of rubber on the car, benimi?
GT3 as a class has TC and ABS included. If you're not running them, you're not racing GT3.
Since ours is a GT3 race, you'd be participating where?
