How many laps on x2 tyre wear can you get through without needing to put a fresh set of rubber on the car, benimi? GT3 as a class has TC and ABS included. If you're not running them, you're not racing GT3. Since ours is a GT3 race, you'd be participating where? Since you allowed the GT2 cars and the LMGT cars this is not exactly true... People said it is allowed, if you say it is mandatory I'm going to use them

I'd like to bring up a point in the bots vs no-bots conversation:
On Saturday we had an 8 lap long race with bots on Monza, with 1 mandatory pit. The bots pitted multiple time, so they almost got a lap in an 8 lap long race, if this is going to be the case on the actual event, the bots not going to have any effect after the first few laps. Which I think is not why we want to use them.

Sounds like a glitch.
Bots fill out the grid, mean there exists a chance for unpredictability, and a challenge to us all.
They're coming. The only way they don't is 24 NoDo drivers.

Just for reference, these are the GTE and GTE Amateur times for 6hrs of Spa 2015:
18 LMGTE Pro No. 99 Aston Martin Racing V8 2:16.840 18
19 LMGTE Pro No. 51 AF Corse 2:16.910 19
20 LMGTE Pro No. 97 Aston Martin Racing 2:17.831 20
21 LMGTE Pro No. 71 AF Corse 2:17.526 21
22 LMGTE Pro No. 95 Aston Martin Racing 2:17.757 22
23 LMGTE Pro No. 91 Porsche Team Manthey 2:18.025 23
24 LMGTE Pro No. 92 Porsche Team Manthey 2:18.038 24
25 LMP2 No. 35 OAK Racing 2:18.487 25
26 LMGTE Am No. 98 Aston Martin Racing 2:19.578 26
27 LMGTE Am No. 50 Larbre Compétition 2:20.694 27
28 LMGTE Am No. 88 Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing 2:21.142 28
29 LMGTE Am No. 55 AF Corse 2:21.893 29
30 LMGTE Am No. 83 AF Corse 2:21.958 30
31 LMGTE Am No. 72 SMP Racing 2:22.909 31
32 LMGTE Am No. 77 Dempsey Racing-Proton 2:23.303 32
33 LMGTE Am No. 96 Aston Martin Racing 2:24.519 33
The fastest qualifying lap at 2016 Spa 6hrs for LMP1 was a 1:54 by the Webber/Barnhardt/Huntley driven Porsche car.
The fastest 2015 Formula 1 qualifying time was Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes with 1:47.197.
I can't find fastest race lap times for WEC (LMP or GTE) but, I found the 2015 F1 fastest lap: 1:52.416 from Nico Rosberg on Lap 34.
F1 race for 2hrs, which is 44 laps at Spa. Starting with 100kg of fuel, they'd average about 2.27kg of fuel per lap (and the regulator rules prohibit flow of >100kg/hr).
So, all things being equal, the car is starting the race at around 825kgs to get to the minimum 720kgs at race finish.
So if it starts at 825kgs, at lap 34, they've burned off 77.27kgs of fuel and therefore would weigh around 750kgs. The tyres would be in optimal range, so the Merc was at prime condition. Its race pace was roughly 5 seconds slower.
What does this mean for GT3 cars?
Well, I'll let you decide. See if you can't push out 2:17s consistently though.

Well, I'll let you decide. See if you can't push out 2:17s consistently though. And do pit stops every 3-5 laps due to shredding the tires. Fastest lap only matters for qualifying,, but if you mess up,,run wide of track limits,, you will start last. Being consistent is more important for an endurance race. Trying silly moves,,dive bombs or late braking take outs will probably end your race and possibly others if you take them out. These cars dont perform well when damaged and pit stops take time. Practice 25+ bot races with you starting last and see how you go,,thats what you should be practicing after getting your car setup.

Yep. So McLaren ran a 1/5th race distance sim on 2x tyre deg. Both cars ran the medium. Car #60 ( SabertoothWolF) started in pole and car #59 ( endersai) started in last place (p24). Car 59 saw minor aero damage from a swerving Bentley and pitted lap 1 which meant it could push out some laps with little to no traffic. This meant tyre degradation conformed to McLaren's forecast modeling up until lap 5 when #59 was in 11th position. Battles throughout the field meant #59 saw pronounced wear on the fronts and McLaren will test out slower steering to assist. Car #59 finished in P5 and car #60 maintained P1 all race, pitting late and beating #59 by half a minute to the chequered flag. Fastest laps: #59 - 2:20.9 #60 - 2:19.4

Yeah, I'm going to change to the SLS AMG GT3. It's the Optimalin (I think that's how it's spelled) #31 red white blue livery, I believe. I'll verify next time in the game. I may look at other liveries but for now that's what I'm going with.

Looks like my joke went sideways. If anybody wondering, I'm not using assist, because I want to be faster, I'm not using them, because I don't like how the cars drive with them, and since I never use them since initially I tried them - back when I go the game like 2 years before it came out - I'm not dangerous without them, even, I migh be more dangerous if I would turn them on, because I don't know how the cars drive with them. I'm willing to take the ABS and TC, if it is mandatory, in the name of realism, not the name of safty. But nothing more. And who cares if I'm 3 second off the pace? Nobody if it is GTA, why would you here? Initially I wanted the SLS, because ender said nobody wants it, now it is the most popular (I still want to drive it, because it handles well)

I'm partial to using the RUF RGT GT3. I'm not exactly on the pace though (2:22s is what I currently get).
