So I've never owned a 'real shooter', because I never really felt the need to play it. I played my racing games and I had fun with that. But since I bought GTA 1.5 year ago I've been thinking about getting a CoD or Battlefield. So with 2 new games coming up I'm seriously interested in buying one of them.
The biggest reason why I don't really feel about getting the new CoD is about the 'space and future' part, if I wanted to play something like that I would've bought Destiny or something. I really like the style of i.e. Bad Company 2, or also the new Battlefield 1.
What I do like about the new CoD is that it comes with the remastered version of Modern Warfare, which is more a realistic type of game like Bad Company 2.
So basically I don't know what I would get. If I just compare these 2, I'd get Battlefield 1, but if it's CoD IW + Modern Warfare for the price of 1 game, or just a bit more I'd get that, because how often do you get 2 games for the price of 1 game?

It heavily depends what style you think you'd prefer. I'd recommend looking at some gameplay from the previous game titles. Level Caps 'Squad Up' series is a good representation of battlefield. Another Level Cap video, but of the traditional call of duty.

I've started mil siming on BF4 and it breathed new life into battlefield for me because it's showing its age. The teamwork is great if you have the right squad

Don't know why people are so bothered about comparing them. Yes they are both first person shooters but they have little else in common. Cod is about fast paced firefights whereas Battlefield is more strategic and has a more realistic pace. Battlefield is almost wandering into a military simulator area whereas Cod is clearly just a game.
I will be buying Infinite Warfare just for the Cod4 remake because the game was absolutely amazing. I will also be buying BF1 because I have been begging for a historic war shooter for a few years now. Wasn't expecting WW1 and I'm very glad they decided to choose WW1 because it has been seldom covered by the game industry. Looking forward to them both very much.

When that remake comes out to the public for 20 euro's or something, COD will sell big again

Battlefield: team based, huge battles with vehicles, a lot of depth, destruction, and classes.

Didn't really get excited about the reveal trailer or multiplayer trailer for Infinite Warfare. The single player trailer however... Wow! Bit weird having Kit Harrington and Conor McGregor in the game but hey i'll roll with it. Actually looks quite good. Doubt it will be anywhere close to how good the Modern Warfare story line was but it could still be good. Pre-ordered IW Legacy Edition for MW Remastered but I might play the campaign of IW too. Already completed the MW Remastered campaign. If you didn't know, you have access to the MW Remastered campaign 30 days before release so it's available to play now if you pre-ordered legacy edition. They haven't just updated a few textures here and there, they have completely reskinned the game and made it with a new engine. Here's a comparison between the original Call of Duty 4 (2007) and MW Remastered (2016)

The thread started with the most preposterous use of "Major Tom" and gets revived with an incredibly inept application of Carlton. GG
