Only commenting because I got tagged. I doubt I'll be doing anything with Overwatch from what I've seen of the game. It's TF2 style map objectives (push the cat, stand on point stoopid, I AM BOOOOOLET PROOF) combined with a hero roster from a MOBA to fill the rolls that Blizzard wants you to. I much prefer the wide variety of weaponry and different play styles that even a single class in TF2 brings to a match, not to mention the fact that my medic is damned expensive with all of his Strange weapons and mediguns. **WTB Strange Kritzkrieg, if anyone has one, hit me up please.** This is the first time I see that your profile pic is the Medic hahaha. Probably because this artstyle is a bit different regarding expression. Here the Medic looks much more hostile.

Played the Beta despite being skeptical because I friend wanted me to. I must say this game is much more fun than any other shooter Ive played recently including the Gears of War 4 (which I am extremely partial too). That being said I dont think this is a good game for playing solo at all. In a team enviorment the experience is much much different than solo. This game relies heavily on heroes utilizing their abilities and ultimates together. Simply being good at point and shooting will only get you so far, even map knowledge will only get you so far. Teamwork is absolutely pivotal to achieving the objective. Obviously there are situations where you could succeed or do well solo so if anyone wants to be contrarian they can but the point is simply that this game is meant to be multiplayer in the truest sense of the word.
Now that said I think there are some definitely balancing issues but this was just the beta and the game is centered around competitive gaming so I have high hopes.
As far as beta's go this one was very well done and they effectively sold a game I would have never purchased in a million years otherwise.

I'll start things off. Zenyatta is by far the best support character. I feel Symmetra is too under powered and can't do anything herself, and Mercy feels a little too fragile for my taste. Lúcio is amazing at the start of a KOTH round, due to his AOE speed boost, but after that his weapon is underpowered and cannot be used reliably under most circumstances. I get the point of a support character is to help the team, but if you're separated or they all died, you can't really do much. The strength of Zenyatta is his ability to increase damage output on an enemy. We've all been there - being chased down by a burly tank with no body to protect you. Zenyatta can attach his orb of discord to the opponent and start dealing 50% more damage! If the enemy is a relatively low dps hero, then Zenyatta will absolutely shred them, which is a vital skill when dealing with tanks. Let me know your thoughts on this, I'm really interested to hear some different opinions. Zenyatta is one of those I think haven't tried enough. Lots of heroes I tried. Then I got the idea of them and then managed to use them well. Didn't do that with zenyatta, but a good friendly zenyatta is really awesome to have. Symmetra is tricky, her main use is the teleporter, which can help a ton. Weapon needs some getting used to too and you need to learn sentry placements. Not the best for new players. Mercy is probably the 'main' healer, using direct healing and can boost damage. She can be really strong with a good player who knows how to move well, because the healing is fast and really good. Haven't seen the higher damage thing do a lot yet,but its probably really useful and I'm not noticing it. Her main power however, when timed well, can change the game. I haven't figured the range of the ability yet and you need a bit of luck to do it well. Lucio is my absolute favourite. The AOE healing and speed can make me more focused on the battle itself, while still healing really god. The ultimate ability for shield is really awesome and easy to use. Weird to hear his weapon being weak, I love it. Maybe I just know how to use it well, but I feel like I can hit targets easly and I once had more than 16 eliminations. It just does really good damage. I'll class the support classes like this Lucio: Offensive support Symmetra: Support support of ultimate supportness... and annoyingness. I guess a bit more defend.Don't know what else to class her Mercy:All around support Zenyatta: Some sort of all around tank support. I havent gone deep into the strategizing part of the game tbh but I noticed that Lucio and Zenyatta working together is really OP. Honestly thats where most of the balancing issues come into play for me. When 2 particular characters are combined they can become almost unkillable and most of those situations revolve around the healers. I think the issue is they are too difficult to kill which in turn makes everything else harder to kill. Granted in a 1v1 you should kill most healers but those situations are few and far between unless the healer is an idiot. I say that having played as Lucio and zenyatta quite a bit and most games 3 deaths would be the max and 1 or 2 was more along the norm. I reserve the right to change my mind on balancing when the games comes out and I have more than 1 or 2 people to play with. As of now its hard to know whats "overpowered" and more importantly what the possible counters might be when we only had a limited time to play and only 2 people trying out different combos.

True, had Mercy and Zenyatta on my team once it was a pretty easy game. I wonder if there is a difference between casual playing and like super pro competitive when it comes to this?

I'm really interested to see how competitive overwatch plays, I'm talking world championships. The way every hero has a counter and at the same time, is a counter makes switching characters mid-game a very important part of the match. I just want to see what team takes it too far and ends up switching character every life. But hey, inb4 nodo best overwatch team EU

Another OP setup (bc Idk a counter yet) is on escort. Reinhardt and bastion on the escort with Mercy following healing them both. Eventually you can break this by focusing mercy but Ive seen this setup move the car from start to finish without dying this way.

PlayOverwatch just tweeted a picture with "Agents Activating" - May 20/May 21 Whats that supposed to mean? tweet link I think it is early release for those who pre-ordered, but then they replied to someone, the guy was saying that he was preordering, then overwatch said 'see you at 24.th' so I don't know.
