Los Santos Slow Sedan Championship
18:00 UTC 17 July, 24 July, 31 July, 7 August
18:00 UTC 17 July, 24 July, 31 July, 7 August
The Sedans of Los Santos are a neglected species. They are usually stolen by players to be driven 500 yards up the road to their garage, then left to rust out on the streets. But this time is different. No longer will these machines be neglected for mundane purposes, or be slept in by hobos in a side street. In these coming weeks, these luxury 4-doors will be the participants of the biggest sedan-based event in the history of Nonchalant Dominance.
Hosts: Just Hero as Event Host, kili31 as Co-host.
When: 18:00 UTC on 17 July, 24 July, 31 July and 7 August (This is to avoid conflicting times with the Euro 2016, which I know takes priority )
Cars: Each car can only have 6 drivers maximum to ensure variance on the grid.
Introduced in the "I'm not a Hipster" Update, the Glendale easily has the highest top speed of all the cars in the championship. It is a handful on the corners but has the potential to be very dominant if driven well.
Probably the easiest to drive in the championship, the Asea drives with minimal oversteer and controllable understeer. But due to its lacking top speed, it requires the driver to be very consistent to pull away from the pack.
The Stratum prides itself on being able to handle bumps in the road a lot better than others in its class. Due to its versatility as being dominant on almost every track, it has been decided that the Stratum will be downgraded to Engine 3 / Transmission 4.
Probably the car that drives most like a traditional sedan in the event, the Premier is a good choice for anyone looking for an easy car to drive. You do have to work hard if you want fast times, but its a very good car for battling.
The Odd-ball of the event. With the lowest top speed in the championship, the Surge is all about the cornering. It is the complete opposite of the Glendale and handles like a dream, a viable choice for any participant.
You can change your car choice anytime before the first race, but after that they are locked.
Event Calendar: The championship will have 8, 30 minute races over 4 weeks.

All selected tracks have a pitlane, so every race you will have to do 2 mandatory pitstops. You will have to announce your pits either in Teamspeak or in the in-game chat. Mandatory Pits allow drivers with damaged cars to not loose any time by repairing their car, and it also adds a little spice to the races

Grid & Qualifying:
The Grid for the first 2 races of the championship will be decided by a qualifying session on Los Santos GP Inner Loop before the first race, which will be at 17:30 UTC on the first week of the championship.
In the following weeks the grid will be decided by a similar system to the one endersai uses for the SATCC. The top 12 points scorers of the previous week's round will be randomized in the top 12 positions, and the same will be done for the bottom 12.
Team Rules:
1. Teams must be sponsored by an in-game company of their choice. No restrictions.
2. Teams must consist of only 2 drivers.
3. Multiple Teams cannot use the same primary colour, due to the cars have very few visual customisation options. The team that signed up first has priority on whether they want to change their colour or not.
FPS:
This event will employ the same rules as the original SCE hosted by Hertz :
You have two choices. If you are running a 60hz screen, you can use vsync or something else to lock the framerate to at most 90. If you are running a 120/144hz screen, you are required to lock it at 90fps maximum. Rivatuner or Dxtory is recommended. Please understand that if you are not using vsync 60fps lock, there is still a chance that your car may act faster, but it really should not change much. However if it does in one of those 0.1% of cases and you are aware of the fact that it is giving you somewhat significant advantage, then you are required to use your own conscience and dial the settings back to 60fps. Weird behaviour over the straights and corners will be recorded. Not following these instructions to lock framerate will result in disqualification from entire event, and worse.
Signups:
Signups will be a little different. To sign up, you need to have attended the Weekly Playlist at least twice, attended the Daily Playlist (or the Evening Racing Club) for at least 10 days, or participated in an endurance event previous to this. This is to avoid unnecessary crashing, as incidents with these cars are a lot more punishing. You can't just hit something and then accelerate to the next turn, you suffer from your mistakes for a lot longer than with other cars.
This system is by no means meant to scare off new members of the crew. This precaution is just to keep the field as clean as possible, and there is currently plenty of time before the first race to attend the necessary events. If there is not enough time before the start of the event, don't worry. You can PM either Just Hero or kili31 and we will do a few races with you, just to see how you would react to a race environment.

The Thread may seem a little bare, that's just because I'm really bad at them. This still the Biggest Sedan Event in Nodo history, so keep calm and race like the drug-addicted estate driver you are!
