San Andreas Grand Prix Classic
31st July 2016, 8pm UTC
F1 is without a doubt where every open wheel driver dreams of racing. The cars are fast, the technology the best there is in the world, and it takes teams of hundreds of people to achieve victory in just one Grand Prix, let alone the championship. But I want to go back to a simpler time. When drivers stepped into clean(er) looking cars without all the sponsor logos or fancy go-fast gadgets that make a steering wheel look like a disco. Where two things decided the outcome of a race. A driver, and his will to win.
So we're going to be racing a car of the good old days: The Pegassi Monroe. No KERS, no DRS. Just a good old fashioned Italian supercar.
Note: If you do not have the car, we can spawn one in for you. The Mamba, Stinger, Stinger GT and JB700 are also eligible.
Teams are allowed but not required as this is a one-off event. If you do race under a team banner, please have a link to your Pit Lane post, if you have one.

There is one compulsory pit stop, which you must take at anytime after lap 5. You do not have to wait at the end of the pit lane. Pitting before this time is permitted, but it will not count as your compulsory pit stop. When pitting in, sound your horn or get on your mic to let cars following know of your intention to pit. When pitting out, you should give way to all cars on the track, within reason. Don't just go blaring onto the track at full throttle. If a collision happens near the pit entry or exit, the driver pitting will be considered at fault, apart from in certain circumstances (deliberate takeout, etc)
Explanation about format:
It is not necessary you be at qualifying but you will qualify at the back. The race session will start at 8pm UTC sharp. If you are not online by that time, you will not race.
