Hello Battlefielders, I've been getting more hyped for battlefield 1 recently and have found myself watching a lot more gameplay of this beautiful game. Whilst I was watching some footage I had an idea of making some classes in battlefield 4 similar to the ones I have seen so far in Battlefield 1. I have still been pretty open when it comes to choice of primary guns, but have restricted what types of weapons can be used for certain classes. This is based off what I have seen so far from gameplay info and will continue to update this as I find out more. I am considering making some vehicle classes but not sure yet as you take away crucial elements needed to defend against enemy tanks and infantry. If you have any suggestions to help fuel the Battlefield 1 hype, please leave them below.
Assault
Class - Engineer
Weapons
Primary - Shotguns and PDW’s
Secondary - M1911 (No Attachments)
Anti Vehicle - RPG/SMAW
Gadgets - None
Attachment Choices
Shotgun - Iron Sight or Red Dot
PDW - Red Dot or Laser Sight
The Assault class is kind of the new engineer class, it uses close range weapons and can take down enemy vehicles but not repair team mates vehicles as that is now a separate class. So for this set up we are going to use the Engineer but with less accurate anti vehicle weapons, no repairs and close range weapons. For your primary weapon you are only allowed to use Shotguns or PDW's, for the Shotguns you could use the 870 for more World War 1 style weapons but any Shotgun is fine. Same with the PDW's any weapon is fine. For attachments though you have to choose. Shotguns you can either go for a bog standard gun with more hip fire usage or use a red dot for more aim down sight accuracy. PDW you can go for hip fire accuracy with a laser sight or aim down sight accuracy. For launchers only free firing ones are allowed no lock ons. And finally no repair gadgets, EOD bots or mines as the Assault class doesn't use them as of now.
Medic
Class - Assault
Weapons
Primary - DMR’s
Secondary - M1911 (No Attachments)
Gadgets - Medic Kit & Defibrillator
Attachment Choices
Iron sights
Red Dot
4x scope with canted iron sights.
The Medic class has gotten more of a nerf now, instead of using the all powerful Assault Rifles it is now tailored more towards medium range engagement and as of now has no form of explosives, only healing and reviving. For primary you will have DMR's and you have a choice of 3 set ups, standard iron sights, Red Dot or 4X scope WITH canted iron sights. In BF1 longer range scopes are side mounted and you are able to use the iron sights as an alternate option. Gadgets are of course the med kit and Defib, I was going to limit everybody to the medic bag (smaller healing option) but I have heard med kits will be in the game.
Scout
Class - Recon
Primary - Sniper
Secondary - M1911 (No Attachments)
Gadgets - Motion Censor
Attachment Choices
Iron Sights
8X Scope with canted iron sights
Bipod
Not much has changed for the Snipers, they have in fact gotten more powerful and now have a sweet spot mechanic where you can one shot at a certain range. Any sniper is usable as there really isn't a noticeable sniper to World War 1 but as for attachments you can go for iron sights for a close range aggressive type class, you can have an 8X scope, nothing more, nothing less as of now and it has to have canted irons sights and lastly the bipod which is optional. The only gadget as of now is the motion censor which is a flare in BF1.
Support
Class - Support
Primary - LMG’s up to 75 rounds
Secondary - M1911 (No Attachments)
Gadgets - Claymore, Ammo Box
Attachment Choices
Iron Sights
Red Dot
Bipod
4X Scope
Support class is another class that hasn't changed all that much apart from the shooting mechanic where your first shots are inaccurate then get better the more you fire. For weapons you want an LMG of course, but only one with 75 rounds or less. In BF1 I have yet to see a machine gun go past 70 rounds but this could change the more we see in game. As for attachments you want either iron sights, red dot, 4X scope and you can choose to run a bipod or not. Gadgets are claymore and of course the ammo box. Claymores will be classed as the trip mines in BF1.
Grenades for all classes
M67 HE
V40 Mini
RGO Impact
M34 Incendiary
M18 Smoke
Assault
Class - Engineer
Weapons
Primary - Shotguns and PDW’s
Secondary - M1911 (No Attachments)
Anti Vehicle - RPG/SMAW
Gadgets - None
Attachment Choices
Shotgun - Iron Sight or Red Dot
