Whenever you place any of the new stunt props into any race of yours the game will automatically transform that race into a stunt race meaning you'll get the stunt race checkpoint sound effects and you won't be able to change the race mode (Standard, GTA, Non-contact) in the lobby. If you then save your race you won't be able to revert its status back even if you delete all the stunt props. Your race will be locked in the stunt mode forever.
At least I haven't found any way of reverting it back other than starting from scratch and making the track all over again. If you find a way please share it.

My name isn't actually Dave. I've just been using this handle long enough that I will answer to it.

I'm happy to deal with that since it means I don't have to recreate my tracks from scratch. You should be able to fork the job before you start fiddling with it, and it is good practice to do so even if you don't intend to go near the new props.
The bigger issue to keep in mind is that it will delete your starting grid when changing the race type so be ready to repair it.

If you want to 'update' an allready existing track with the new props, load it into creator, and save under a different name. Adding a period to the end of the title is enough.
You can then fiddle around all you want, and if you screw up, the original is still there, under the original name.

I have set up by one of my races for standard and GTA, but it requires two different saves for each game mode and you have to put it in as the default setting. Hope that helps people out a bit.

Still a bit annoying that you have to separate those two but that sounds like a clever solution. Standard for racing with randoms, GTA for events.

I just hate the fact you can't change the race types. If stunt races were to be added into events the creator would have to go into the cc just to add a pitstop :/

Another solution from now on would be to publish and share two copies of your track by changing titles (e.g LSIA GP - GTA | LSIA GP - Standard)
