Honestly, the biggest thing that's turning me off about this crew is the fact that you guys still use Teamspeak. Is there a reason why you guys don't use discord?

There's many pros and cons to both. Most of us are entrenched in Teamspeak. It's free for everyone to use thanks to LotheronPrime, it has great configuration and is super light weight. For text chat, Slack is awesome. The main, number one reason we don't use discord is that it cannot handle how many people we have. Discord starts to lose quality and have issues with 20+ people, so when we have 40-50 midday, it wouldn't work.

I believe there IS a discord server, but we only tested it for a bit and aren't actively using it, because of what Baron said.

Also if someone personally manages the Teamspeak server it's usually more reliable. Discord has great features and free hosting is awesome, but sometimes the servers fudge and there's nothing you can do about it.

I used discord with some fellow friends I met in racing and I never saw any real difference between slack and discord tbh

Nobody is being invited because we don't use the server.

Just tried Discord for the first time today and it seems to be working great. Of course TeamSpeak is very well known, but I believe Discord would allow a lot more things than TS.
I'm not familiar with it at all as I just tried it but we don't have to follow the same channel hierarchy as we do on TeamSpeak. Wouldn't having different servers be a solution to the loss of quality with more than 20 people? NODO NODO PC NODO PC Daily playlist, NODO PC MCEC, NODO PC SATCC, NODO PC Sunday Cup... NODO PS4 and so on NODO XBOX and so on
We would use the main NODO server for global communication and having everyone at the same place, then all the PC players can gather in the NODO PC server. That makes it easy to add new friends and to have an adapted level of information. Finally the event hosts could create their own server, and that's the servers we would use for actual voice chat.

That sounds like a whole lot of unnecessary work to me. What's wrong with teamspeak and slack.

Nothing's wrong with TS and Slack but if I understand correctly, Discord does what both do, and more. For example, I would really appreciate having a Discord server for my events: I have full control over the server and I don't have to annoy commissioners about it, there's a list of participants, there's a global chat that I can use to keep said participants informed and to keep track of everything. That's just what I can think of after using it for half an hour today, I really like how this tool could help us organise and communicate within our community better or easier. You're right about multiple servers being a lot of work, and of course I'm aware there's no use to push something, if Discord is actually a good tool and players start to use it, it'll gain traction naturally. Reminds me of this TED talk about shortcuts.

My DnD group tried discord the past few nights, and I think the idea behind it is better than TS and Slack, but it's just not well executed, buggy, and the voice quality drops off even on my connection often, it lags our computers. Just not well made enough to use on a large scale.
