I'm having second thoughts on buying this game if it's going to be a frustrating experince playing with a controller. Watch this video, it looks like it was designed with a controller in mind.

Consensus is to not be cheap and get the T80. Minimum would be the T100 but I have my doubts of total compatibility. T300 would be so sweet, but $400 is so pricey. My biggest concern is longevity of this game as well as future racing game endeavors to warrant the purchase. I really want to enjoy the game as much as I can, actually get proficient at it so I can win some races, and provide some good competition. For maybe a week or two I will play with a controller.

This is exactly why in holding of buying a wheel till I'm sure it'll be used not just for PCars but for other games too. This is the first SIM racing game I actually enjoy but I'm primarily an arcade racer. Time will tell I guess.

I initially thought the game was being over hyped but it's better than Gran Turismo and I am a bit of a Gran turismo fanboy. No need to worry about it's longevity. I have only played with a controller. It's quite hard but if you look at the lap times leader board wheels are getting around the same laptimes than controllers.
