1) Mario Kart: Double Dash (Gamecube) - So basically from the age of 4-7 or so this is all I remember when it comes to video games. First game I ever completed, however I went a bit overkill and must've completed it about 8 times. Who doesn't love mario kart?! And plus with Double Dash you could team up, it was just awesome. 2) Need For Speed Underground 2 (PS2) - How can anyone not love this game?! It was long, challenging, and had a good progressive feel to it as you carried on the story. It was the first game I ever played with free roam of some sort, and it was amazing. Plus I was about 9 when it came out so I loved all the stupid bodykits and stuff back then. 3) GTA: San Andreas (PS2) - I LOVE this game. No other words for it. It was the leader at the time in what could be achieved in a video game and on a Playstation 2, although it did freeze quite a lot. Lots of hidden jokes, lots of outright ones, CJ was a great character, it was just a fun god damn time. 4) Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (PS2) - I've probably spent more hours on this than any other game in the world. Me and my old school friend use to play this from the age of about 10, all the way through to now. I moved away unfortunately, and we don't get to see each other often, but when we do see each other, you know what we play 5) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 (Xbox 360) - To me, at the age of 12, my first proper FPS, this game was a masterpiece. I couldn't believe that something like this existed. That you could pretend to actually be someone with a gun, fighting other people with guns. Stupid I know, but that's how it was Remember that old school friend? Turns out, he couldn't believe it either. We both have spent a very unhealthy amount of time on this game, and I still play it today sometimes... Other games that almost made it -
The Last Of Us (PS3) - Beautiful game, beautiful storyline. Enough said. If you don't know what I mean, play it. You wont regret it. Need For Speed Underground (PS2) - I didn't add it because of free roam on Underground 2, but I adore this game. Pokemon Pearl (DS) - I mean, it had to be in here somewhere right?! Great game. Grand Theft Auto 4 / 5 - I love both of these games to pieces but I didn't want to fill the list with them. You already know about these 2. Forza Horizon - The handling in this game is so addictive, you can just drive all day and not get bored. Also, the world is beautiful.

For me, in no particular order
Counter-Strike: Source - If only for the custom mini-games servers. Many, many hours have been spent playing those, and many memorable moments have been had in that game.
Shadow of the Colossus - I finally played this last year, and I can see why it's a classic. That soundtrack, yo. Just gotta do it on hard mode, now.
FlatOut 1/2 - These two are my favorite racing games ever. Certainly not the most realistic, and far from clean racing, but that's what I love about it. (And yes, I'm looking forward to Wreckfest)
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D - When I was younger, I LOVED Star Wars, and I was into flight games. Put those two together? I was a happy kid.
Super Mario Bros. - The first game I can remember playing. I think that's a good enough reason.
This doesn't mean that I think these are all the best games ever made, of course, just some of my favorites.

Shadow of the Colossus Journey The Last of Us Red Dead Redemption Grand Theft Auto V 2 Rockstar games and 3 modern PlayStation exclusives. My idea for “favourite game” has evolved over the years and I guess I'm picking these 5 for three main reasons. 1. They're modern and therefore ones that are freshest in my memory. 2. Most of them are really huge games with a massive amount of content, both online and offline and even long after rinsing them to 100% I'm still finding them entertaining. 3. Probably the most important point to me, the deep storytelling and amount of investment I'm able to put into them emotionally. Most of them are deeply melancholic and artful and IMO further the medium of videogames not only as art but as a new medium of expression, up there with film and painting. Even Grand Theft Auto V which is a colourful, crazy scattershot satire, still has the ability to hold a mirror up to society in a way that films, books, TV and painting doesn't. Honourable mentions: Quake Quake 2 Quake 3: Arena Brothers: a Tale of Two Sons Hotline Miami Limbo Silent Hill 2 Grand Theft Auto Portal Portal 2 Super Mario Galaxy Super Mario Galaxy 2 GoldenEye 007 Tomb Raider Deus Ex Bioshock Half-Life 2 Skyrim Halo Some of these could've been included in my top 5 for the 3 reasons I stated. However I haven't played a lot of them in a very long time and the reason they're only honourable mentions is because I simply adored them at one point and feel some of them may have dated a little now. I'm only about 1/3 of the way through it but I am seriously thinking Bloodborne is on this list. It's just about the greatest game I've played and I hope it never ends.

Personally, most of the great games were on the PS2. None of these are in any sort of order. NFS Underground 2Pretty much my childhood wrapped up into one game! This was the game that made me start really like racing, and that made me a lot more competitive as a racer. Plus, it was the best free roaming driving game on the PS2 in my opinion. Granturismo 3Was the first fairly realistic racing game that I played. The amount of hours that I wasted plowing through the races on this game were uncountable. The best bit about it, for me was the endurance races. So many times I would get like 10 minutes from the end, and would have to go somewhere, it was devastating! Grand Theft Auto 5The obvious choice. Without this game, I wouldn't be in NoDo, and I wouldn't be posting this reply now! Have met so many new people because of this game, and obviously NoDo, and it is definitely in my top 3 games on this list! COD Modern Warfare 3This game was my life throughout a phase of around a year. The game has cost me bundles of money, skipping from clan to clan, spending £7 on a name change each time! By far the best call of duty game ever made. NFS CarbonYet another game that I sweated out, but haven't we all played this game at some point, let's be honest. Thinking about it now in comparison to all of the other racing games, this was appalling, but the amount of times that I completed this game was ridiculous that it very quickly became one of my favourite games of all time! That's pretty much it! I could have included games like NFS Prostreet, Forza 4, Toca Racedriver 3, Test drive unlimited 1 and 2, etc, but I could only include 5

In no particular order...
Crash Team Racing - In my eyes the best karting game ever made, every weekend me and my friends would get out the PS Multitap and just play for hours on end and never get bored, I still play it to this day!
Rayman - My first platformer, the game was very well designed, the art was amazing and it was insanely hard towards the later levels. I never completed it and don't think I ever will, if you want a challenge this game is it!
Call of Duty 4 - 20,000 people use to live here.... What a game this was. This game is responsible for a lot of things in the gaming world (good and bad) and I loved being a part of it, not to mention I was very good at it which probably helped!
Call of Duty: United Offensive - This was the first shooter I ever played and I was immediately hooked, in my view it's the only Call of Duty game, maybe ever the only shooter, that got vehicle combat just right, everything was so well balanced. It was also a WW2 game and I love things to do with WW2, I guess because it's just hard to imagine a war on that scale, and yet this game could put me right in the middle of the action, I guess this is when I realised what games are and what they could be!
Grand Theft Auto 5 - Well what can I say about this? Yeah we all complain about issues here and there and that's to be expected these days, especially with a game like this. The sheer scope of this game is unbelievable, you can do literally anything you want in this living, breathing virtual world, rampages, car customising, flying, bike riding, hiking, swimming, robbing banks, racing, the list goes on! Rockstar never fail to produce Triple A games and this game is the benchmark to the rest of the industry, and I honestly don't think it will be topped by anyone other than themselves!

Metal Arms - This game...I remember playing this game hours on end with my brother and some friends. Despite being 12 years old now, it is still one of the most fun and addicting games I've played. Once in a blue moon I'll find myself playing the game again. The campaign is really damn fun with upwards 40 levels I pretty sure. If you have $10 to spare, and have a 360, I reckon you check the game out as it is good fun.
Grand Theft Auto 5 -This is obvious. Basically the only game I play really right now (aside from the Games for Gold Program on the 360). With only 60+ days on the game, I have no trouble coming back to this. There is just so much to do on the game, especially with a group of friends. If all else fails, just throw a car of Mt. Chiliad.
Skyrim - Oh Skyrim. This game has consumed hundreds of hours of my life. No regrets. Too bad I'm just a console peasant, those PC mods are just so desirable. Too bad I've just worn the game out so much, It was really fun playing. I suppose it's for the best as I find myself in a sort of "writer's slump" when ever I load the game up and make a new character.
Borderlands 2 - Another game where I've put too much time in. Not only do the wide variety of characters and classes keep my playing (well, no anymore), just dicking around is fun too. Just like Skyrim however, I just can't pick the game up anymore. I've had so many good memories on both, but I've got no motivation to play anymore. Which is a shame.
Undecided - I just don't have that many games that kept me loving them and playing them for a long while. A few runner-ups I suppose could be maybe Battlefield 3, and a few CoD games, but nothing is like the ones above. The Forza series is also quite addicting, but I lose attention after a few races. Oh well.

5. Modern Warfare 3 The first CoD I clocked 100+ hours on, it was very fun using unconventional weapons like the CM901 or the Javelin. I mainly played solo which probably cut into how much I got out of the game, but it was still a great game that got me severely into online gaming.
4. Burnout Paradise Originally introduced to me by an older friend, this title was the first game I ever played and enjoyed on the PS3. I clocked easily 150+ hours on this game, and it was what hooked me on 7th generation gaming.
3. Just Cause 2 The ultimate open world sandbox, this was the first third person shooter game I ever owned. I spent 200+ hours on this game, and I still think about it often. No multiplayer killed some of its potential in my mind, but it is still a top 5 game.
2. Black Ops II 500+ hours on what I think is the best CoD to date. This game is where I first got and used a mic and made online friends. I also tried league play with this game, and that was a blast.
1. Grand Theft Auto V 1000+ hours played on what is far and away my favourite game of all time. There is so much detail across such a big map with content being added by users and developers all the time. I haven't played a game this great ever, and I can only expect it will be a while until another title of this calibre comes along.

Rock Band 3 Probably my favorite game, ever. Most people think of it as a just a game, but I have actually somewhat learned how to actually sing and has made me confident enough to do karaoke at a bar without a drink. I wouldn't call myself good, but I know the basics of singing. Boasting over 600 songs in my library, Magic and Shadowrun (Table-Top RPG) are probably the only games I've spent more money on. I also don't play on anything less than hard (including Keys).
Grand Theft Auto 5/Online Even though I haven't actually finished the main game, I have found it and especially the Online part to be extremely fun, and it is one of the few (of possibly 3) games I have spent more than 1,000 hours on. Even through it's frustrations, I keep coming back.
Fallout: New Vegas Just edging out Skyrim, I love this game thoroughly. The stories, the music, the setting, the inter-connected factions, the combat (I barely use VATS), and the voice acting all make this game one of the best I have ever played (especially on Xbox 360, it works better than the PS3 imo, and yes I am a peasant). I am hoping a new Fallout is announced at E3 or by the summer's end.
Skyrim The third game I have spent a month in (Rock Band being the first), I have done almost every quest you can do and read over half the books. While I've tried Oblivion out, I couldn't get into the complex leveling system. If I were to get ESO, I'd definitely play Ebonheart, as I would only play Nord, Dunmer, or Argonian.
Final Fantasy 9 The last of my 5, FF9 was not my first FF, but my 6th one (played 4, 6, 7, 8, and a little of Tactics). I can't remember a character I hated, even Quina, and only one mini-game (Vivi's running contest). Sure it's a little SD, but it has a great story and one of the few cool main characters (Lightning, Cecil, and Terra being the others). It has the most emotional scene (imo) of any FF, when Vivi sees his brethren slain before his eyes (sorry Aerith, but Vivi is a more interesting character). My favorite PS 1 game, ever.
Honorable Mentions Final Fantasy 4 Final Fantasy 7 Fallout 3 Dragon Warrior Dragon Warrior 7 (Top 10) Dragon Quest 8 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Top 10) Saints Row 2 Saints Row 4 Silent Hill (Top 10) Silent Hill 2 Katamari Damacy Bioshock Infinite (Top 10) Tomb Raider 2013 Uncharted 2 Heavy Rain (Top 10) Minecraft Borderlands Borderlands 2 Zelda: A Link to the Past Zelda: Windwaker Batman: Arkham City

My top 5 games will be the ones I played the most, ordered from most to least favourite. I love being in a community on a multiplayer game; the more people the better. 1. World of Warcraft.I admit it. I don't like it at all nowadays, but it has been the best gaming/mmo experience I've had. I don't think any game I will play in the future will give the same feeling I got from WoW. Being a true addict in high end raiding guilds and some proper pvp too, I can surely say I have played enough hours to fill up a year or more. But hey, I got over it. Moving on. 2. GTA:Online (five, of course)As I said, I love being a part of an MMO community. I loved the SP, but ever since I went online for the first time I was sold. When does driving around without thinking in free roam ever get boring, you ask? Never.3. Uh oh... RuneScapeBeing my first experience with online gaming, I played this game for quite a while until I got enough income to afford WoW. Many people hate it, but the ones who have played it know it's awesomeness. The unending amount of quests, skills, items, random events and activities you can have makes this game one of the best ever made. Being written in Java, it's graphics are horrible, but it makes up for all of that with everything you could do. At least, back in the day when I played it. 4. Gran Turismo 2My first game when I bought a PS1. Now my PS1 is dead, and I'm losing my favourite game. I don't think I have to say anything else about this. {But I can show you my favourite car and intro} 5. Need For Speed Underground: 2I got this together with NFS: Hot Pursuit when I bought my PS2. Being 'that age' I have played this so much, I believe I completed the career 3 or 4 times, next to countless hours of just customising cars, roaming around, pitting traffic in an SUV. I loved the soundtracks, especially the Riders On The Storm remix made for the game, but also songs like Black Betty (by Spiderbait) and Give It All (Rise Against).

Not in any particular order. GTA V, Forza Horizon, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Sunset Riders, Mark Of The Ninja. Also, although Halo Reach's multiplayer was terrible in respect to TDMs and game modes as such. A human mind can't comprehend how many memories I have of playing Infection with friends

1. Grand Theft Auto VNo need for an explanation now is there. (Driving mechanics are godly). 2. Pokemon SapphireThis was my introduction to the Pokemon game universe, don't know how many countless hours I put into this, so much so that even after losing my save several times I still enjoyed completing the game over & over again, by complete I mean to beat the Elite 4 (speaking of which I beat them 74 TIMES with as few as only 1 Pokemon as well). 3. Super Mario All StarsNow I know what you may be thinking, that this is me copping out so I don't have to pick between them, but this was my 1st Mario game & it just so happened to be a trilogy collection, though if I had to pick 1 I'd choose Super Mario Bros 3. My love for platformers breeds from this (nostalgia bomb dropped). 4. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2My introduction to the competitive online multiplayer scene, played this game nonstop for a very long time, my 1st & last CoD game, BO1 just didn't feel the same as MW2 (as well as the fact it had a shitty pump-action shotgun), till I learned that it's made by a different studio (Treyarch) & so my hype turned to MW3 (turned out the same as BO1), So yeah MW2 = Best CoD game eva! 5. Far Cry 3Lets get this out of the way, the story is shit period. The gameplay on the other hand is SO FCUKING FUN! If this is truly "Like Skyrim with guns" then I need to play that game (hopefully it gets a PS4 remaster/port). Honorable Mentions:Need for Speed Most Wanted 05'This game is my favorite racing game EVER & during my PS2 days the racing genre was my utmost favorite genre. This game's Blacklist system was revolutionary for me, climbing up the ranks 1 by 1 to become the most wanted was so cool to me, that I set out to complete all the challenges available even when I didn't need to do so. Rogue LegacyGot this game pretty much as soon as it hit the PSN store (Played it on my Vita & PS4, mostly the former) & I got instantly addicted to this (gotta get dat loot). Btw I'm on New Game +8! So yeah. JourneyI don't need to tell some of you guys why I loved this game (I couldn't explain it to you even if I tried ). Yu-Gi-Oh GX Tag ForcePlayed this game a LOT, this was my go to PSP game. Me & my little brother & a couple of my friends would duel each other ENDLESSLY! TetrisNo explanation needed. Sonic Advance 2Best Sonic game ever? for me a definite yes, the speed & tightness of the gameplay & the mix of the soundtrack made me love this SO MUCH! Hotline MiamiAddictive, Fast, Brutal, Bloody gameplay & a Bangin' OST, what more do you need (too bad the sequel couldn't be even better, though the OST trumps the 1st one). DishonoredStealth game at it's finest, not some slow methodical type, but quick & satisfying, story was cool too. Persona 4 GoldenJust finished my 1st playthrough the other day, already 1/3 of a way through on my 2nd playthrough. An amazing JRPG! Can't wait for Persona 5. Batman Arkham SeriesSimply awesome games, superhero games done right, can't wait for Arkham Knight.

A fine choice! Remember that deafening silence in the Cave of Origin? Still sends shivers down my spine. Oh, the memories. I used to know that game through and through. At least as much as a kid in his early teens without an internet access and with only a couple of other friends playing the game could.

Utterly fantastic, perfectly formed little package of awesomeness. Dishonored is a game that I started and really enjoyed but never finished. Now that it's available for free on PS Plus I think I'll sell my disc and try it again. The same goes for Arkham City.
