Benefactor multi-class endurance racing event.
Friday -- 16 December -- 7PM UTC / 19:00 UTC
After the great succes of Kaleeb42 Dewbauchee event I decided to host something similair myself. This time with a different brand and a different track.
As most of you already know, I am a big fan of events like these. I fell in love with the concept of having different classes within the same race. It makes the race way more engaging and interesting.
Having respect for your opponents is not just for sportsmanship, it's needed to avoid losing race-pace and precious time!
This event will mostly be just for fun. Nothing precious to win here aside from 2 hours of having an enjoyable time together .
Date and times:
Track:
Grapeseed Paradise Newly created by me for just this event and beyond.
(Initially I wanted to use someone else's track but there were some big issues with it which couldn't be updated because the owner doesn't have a PC account)
Laps: 50 Laps incuding formation lap
Laptimes: ~1:15 per lap
Cars:
Sports class
* If for some reason the stirling GT becomes unavailable because of a rockstar patch, it will be replaced by a car of equal pace.
No modification restrictions/requirements!
Grid will be randomized for every GT by my homemade grid randomizer excel spreadsheet.
Starting procedure: (Important)
First I will show the pitlane to people who have not seen it yet. Then we will line everybody up to their respective starting location.
After everybody is lined up correctly we will start the formation lap where everybody will drive at relatively slow race pace.
Near the end of the formation lap everybody gets into position at their respective grid spot and gets ready for the race start.
Since there is no option for sticky bombs we will start on a specific time.
Each GT will start 5 seconds after another.
Depending on how long this takes, we will begin the start at a full or a half minute interval.
Example 1: I decide that we start at 5:00. GT1 will go at 5:00, GT2 will go at 5:05 and GT3 will go at 5:10.
Example 2: I decide that we start at 6:30. GT1 will go at 6:30, GT2 will go at 6:35 and GT3 will go at 6:40.
The reason I choose to do this is to prevent a big pileup at the first corners because they are pretty tight.
I don't want people to feel bad after crashing out in the first few corners. There is about a 4 second pace difference per lap between each GT so overtaking someone of a higher GT should not be very common anyways.
Rules:
Standard NoDo Racing and Etiquette Guidelines Apply.
Also thanks toRapTor_X_ progs08 for pointing this out: There will be a 60 FPS limit just like in any other event.
You must be in teamspeak bla bla bla you guys know this.
Generally, just don't be a cuntface and you'll be fine.
Blue flags:
There will be blue flags ONLY when lapping/being lapped by your own GT.
If you want to lap someone from a GT higher/lower than you, You can always ask them but they have all the right to hold their lines.
It is advised as a lower GT being lapped to pick a spot to let the person behind pass so that both of you lose as little time as possible.
It is NOT ALLOWED to defend when being lapped! However as I just said. You may hold your line when being lapped by someone outside of your GT.
Pit procedure: (Important)
Every car has to take 4 mandatory Pitstops.
You are allowed to take a pitstop whenever you want, except for the first and the last lap.
The mandatory pit stop requires you to drive through the pit lane, nothing else. You DO NOT have to stop/wait/repair.
You may repair your car during a mandatory pitstop if you want to, which will take exra time. But that's the price you will have to pay!
Since the racetrack is a stunt race, To repair your car you must respawn in the pitlane.
There are 2 lanes in the pit lane:
The RIGHT side of the pitlane will be for people who are just doing a drive-through
The LEFT side of the pitlane will be for people who want to respawn to repair their car.
When entering/exiting the pitlane you are not allowed to cross the white lines on the track. There is no punishment for this but please try to avoid doing it. However if you cause a collision as a result of ignoring this rule, you're in for some paddlin'.
After taking someone out you are not allowed to let them pass by taking a pit stop.
edit:
- You are allowed to take more than 4 pit stops if you so desire.
- 30 seconds will be added to the participant's finishing time per missed Pitstop.
- The pitwatcher will look for false starts. If someone makes a false start then they are punished with a pit drive-through which needs to be done within 2 laps of being notified. (No repairing!)
I want to know that you have read this pit procedure thouroughly and understand it entirely. If you do, please reply with a smiley face somewhere in your comment.
Signups:
edit: Signups full after 12 hours. wow! There is still space for reserves
