So, long story short:I'm currently 17 (almost 18), and have worked the usual jobs as a lil' wanker. Mostly supermarket jobs, cleaning cars at a dealership, those kinda things even my little brother can easily do ( except voice acting, but that's not really a job considering I sit down and blab something into a microphone and money gets thrown my way) However, after quitting at my most recent retailer, I'm now working for my dad who's got his own metalworks company. In a nutshell, he sands round metal things. There's no English word for the specific job, but here's a picture of the stuff he does. The machine seen here weighs 13 tonnes. The dark disc weighs 3.4 tonnes, and is 2.7 meters / 9.5 feet tall.
Now I'm curious, since many people here are older than me: What's your job? If it's a specific job, please try and explain what exactly you do.

I'm in college right now (21) getting a major in environmental science, but my other passion is music. I teach music at a YMCA, though i'd like to eventually teach high school kids music theory rather than 8-15 year olds smoke on the water

But I work for a small building company and I draw for the boss (like technical drawings to actually make the buildings). And now I also do 4 days of internship at an Architect Company where I learn a big load of great stuff . Since I'm already well over forty years old, I had a couple of jobs. But all of them were IT / were online jobs. Working for advertising agencies creating a couple of stupid facebook apps, creating multimedia applications, corporate websites, being sysadmin for various companies etc. My current (and hopefully final) job is working at a university in the IT department. Wonderful people, workload is quite okay, payment not so much (in comparison to the private sector), but overall I'm really happy here.

I've been working with a youtuber for over a year now, Sparkles , I mainly make fragclips of csgo, and inspect demos from our website submission. when i ended school i went to france to work at construction sites, but i gave up 3 mounths into that hell(belive me, true hell), then came back to portugal, actualy did graphic design as a job for half a year in a sports clothing store(which was what i studied 3 years for), but then fliped my shit and quit because i was too stressed there, and after a few mounths wanting to kms i got super lucky and found a dream job..

19, turning 20 in a few months. Currently in college, studying to be an Urban Planner (for those of you that don't know, they help cities decide what gets built and where. It's essentially SimCity, but with a lot more red tape!)

I'm 20 years old and study mechanical engineering at university here in germany. Inbetween I'm working at a large international company as a technical product designer. Basically I produce the technical drawings of e.g. a part of a large steam turbine; technical drawings are needed for internal (and external) departments to communicate properly. This is an example of a technical drawing for a simple shaft: This is a more advanced shaft:

Nevertheless I really enjoy looking at the schematics that you've posted. I'm 25 and working on my Master thesis, besides I work in Assurance in one of the big 4 audit companies. Whenever I'm working for a client, I feel like I'm scanning their entire company with an X-ray, the insights you get are quite interesting. They give you a big picture on how different companies are structured and the processes they use.

I am "kind of" back into GTA so I figured it would be appropriate to write something about the reason I was away from playing. And this is the perfect topic for it. I am 25, im working on my Master thesis, like my buddy EDDI2142 . But on a different subject: Electrical Engineering. Im working on (and my thesis is part of it) a government funded research project for the electrical supply of critical infrastructure (hospitals, water supply etc.) in case of large scale blackouts by using renewable generation systems(PV-Systems, Biomass- and Hydro Power Plants). for the more interested: In case of a long term blackout, the supply of critical infrastructure like hospitals, water supply or cooling systems is a major concern. Like the bestseller "Blackout" from Marc Elsberg illustrates. So the basic idea of the research project is to seperate a grid section from the otherwise not supplied interconnected grid, to supply the critical infrastructure. The section will be fed by already exisiting renewable generation systems (mainly hydro power plants and biomass power plants for reliability reasons).
an additional info-link to the research project (unfortunately in german):
