Hiya. I've finally started having a look at the new stunt props in creator, with a mind to creating something. The problem arises with the new stunt tracks: They look great, but what doesn't look so great is curb boosters zig-zagging their way through the circuit. Before I create a new track I want to get peoples opinions who have more experience with the new creator, how this can be minimised. I've looked at sinking the tracks into the ground slightly, however even if you sink the road so that only the rumble strips are showing there is still a slight boost to be gained from going over the strips. You can sink the track with barrier into the ground so that only the barrier is showing, however you then lose the rumble strip which I want to try and keep in the race. I am now considering using the Slow Down pads by the side of the road in certain strategic areas (obviously set to weak) to achieve this. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the slow down effect would be too much even on weak (I wish there was a "very weak" option) It would essentially give you a time punishment for going outside the track limits, but there may be a potential problem if 2 people are racing bumper to bumper and the one in front hits the pad. Again, thoughts in general on this idea, or any other suggestions for fighting curb boosting in races would be most welcomed, cheers

Depends how many props you have to spare. DV8R has used the colored building blocks that are exactly level with the rumble strips so there is no point trying to boost off them. You put them on either side of the stunt prop. Its on the last corner of red, black, or green if you wanna check out an example

You can also use the stunt raised props and sink them into the ground low enough that if a car falls off, they can still get back onto the track, but high enough that the curb boost isnt worth it. Thats mainly what I do. Or use stunt raised track, but make it high so that you'll fall off if you try, like this race: www.youtube.com/watch?v=O50-1S7HZpI Though some probably will complain. Another one is similar to what RJ said, where you sink the rumble strips into the ground so that you see the rumble strips, but dont get a boost, but you do lose the tarmac, and you'll see the regular road underneath. EDIT: Also, alot of people (at least on PS4) hate slow down strips at the edge of the track. Someone could run you out of road or crash into you, and you get into the slowdown strip even if you were trying to obey track limits. I'd only recommend slow down strips at chicanes or pit lanes

Thanks for the replies, I did actually try sinking the track into the ground as far as it would go, but the strips still seem to give a boost. I will have a much longer play with the creator tomorrow and see what works best

I think what jt suggested is probably the best, where you raise it up so you would fall off the track if you try to curb boost. Not too many people use that on XB1, so I kinda forgot about that method. Depends on a lot of circumstances though obviously
