I bought Next Car Game months ago in the pre Alpha but my PC wasn't good enough back then to run it well, but now it is and I started to get into the game and even though there isn't much to it yet, it is very fun!
Next Car Game: Wreckfest is a physics based racing and demolition derby game developed by Bugbear Entertainment (I believe that is correct). It has pretty good graphics, a challenging yet rewarding driving system, 5 cars currently but they add more and they are pretty well balanced, and quite a few tracks with reverse modes on each. They even have different demolition derby arenas and 2 types of figure 8 tracks! At this moment the game does not have dedicated servers so you need to host a server from your home, but it is easy to do. It is challenging to find servers considering the game is still new, however, but when you enter one, it is fun. Racing lobbies are pretty friendly, I didn't meet too many griefers, and they either all race clean which is fun and rewarding, or they race dirty and the races turn into... well, a Wreckfest. It's pretty hilarious seeing what your car looks like all crumpled up, it's even better than GTA IV's damage engine. The game is out on Steam and I would recommend picking it up during a sale. When I bought it I also got a Sandbox arena with all sorts of fun toys like cannons and ramps.
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone was interesting in playing the game because it seems like a game a lot of people here would like.
Here's a screenshot I took of the game on low settings at the start of a figure 8 race from the photo mode.
That poor Capri(?) on the left drove straight into a wall. The Trans Am is mine and the Oldsmobile / GTO (The cars are not licensed) is an AI.
