Hey all! An idea has come to me that Instead of trying to remove as much curbs as possible when making races (especially with the stunt track props), make the most of them by using on parts such as long straits to give extra speed and a more intense race. Also have them in the driving line so you don't have to go "curb hunting" It'd be better to try it yourself if you unsure of what I'm going on about here. I've only had a couple mates to test it out with me and they seemed to really enjoy it, but would like expanded feed back from more people. I've made 3 tracks with this technique used, they are also part of my IRL based race tracks. Even if you're not a fan of these type of style races, I'd recommend trying out my Yas Marina one 1: rsg.ms/7348465 (Yas Marina Circuit GP UAE) 2: rsg.ms/863b623 (Albert Park Malbourne GP) 3: rsg.ms/2a4936a (Monaco GP Monte Carlo) and also made a little drag race test : rsg.ms/d03fb51Thanks!

Heres the proplem, people with better PC's will win. Drops the mic and walks out. (If did not know higher fps give curb boosting an even bigger boost.

Some cars get a bigger boost, so it would be unfair.

Some cars get a bigger boost, so it would be unfair. Well if it's a "slower" car that gets a bigger boost than a faster car, than whats the difference in racing a turrismo against a nero? Even you you go faster, it is easy to spin out on these tracks if you're not careful

how long have been playing GTA? I'm asking this because your thread seems to be based off stuff we thought of a long time ago seen that it made racing worse. (just to give you an idea if your running at 60 fps and lets say your best lap was 1:30, there is a guy that is at 144 fps and hes 5 seconds a lap faster then you because of the fps diff.) how would you feel about that? being beaten because he had a faster pc then you.
In conclusion your idea throws skill out the window in favor of people that have lots of money to spend IRL.

Cause what i've done is made full use of the stunt props, which are very recent in gtav, so this "stuff" must not be the same of what you're thinking of from " a long time ago" And from my experience there has been times where my shitty 40fps pc was going faster than someone at over 100fps (Same car). Also last time i check this isn't a crew purely for try hard racers. Half the time i wont choose "the best" car, just what i feel like having a fun clean friendly race in.

did all 3 of the tracks that u posted here. did u only spend like 45 mins on them? why is there like only 1-3 brake zones and all flat out, no skill in them at all. and for the curbs on how you have them you mite as well have used speed strips. I think that OG Ron Raceway is better then those 3 tracks. by the way you used the snapping tool to much(very easy to see it on the ground). and there was no flow to the tracks as well and improve your check point placement.

thanks for correctly responding to my post with useful feedback instead of a useless single pointed mind of view. This was an experiment and i wasn't going to waste days on one track to make it all so mighty perfect. That's the point of snipping tool, for someone like me to make a quick it'll do type of track. I don't have the luxury and spare time to make every piece smooth out and all that. And some gta races are somewhat very flat out unless they're filled with the likes of hairpins and tight chicanes. It's just how the driving physics are in this game

This is why it is generally the status quo and the morally correct decision for hot-lappers to use a fps limiter that locks their fps at 60. To make hot-lap times more relatable and fair for others. More of a measure of skill and less of a measure of how much money lines your pockets.

when will people stop spouting their bold baseless statements?
if you think its as clear cut as "higher fps makes you go faster" then youre wrong and clearly havent played around with not only your own settings but with other people at different fpses
