I don't have any cars that are the same colour because there is no one colour that works for all cars and I just like to have a rainbow of colours in my garage. Here is a picture of my classic car garage that in the future will have the turismo and infernus classic cause they are sexy af.
The Z-Type is the only car with a custom crew colour BlackFin- Matte Galaxy Blue? with an Ice White Pearl and a metallic frost white secondary Omnis- Dark Green with a white pearl (Went for the production car look instead of rally) Tampa- Yellow with a matte black secondary Tropos- One of the reds (don't remember) and black secondary Coquette- Just a standard silver to make it look like the car it is based off a tiny bit more
a) paint them how I'd have them if I had them IRL, or b) Try to paint them in a classical or appropriate scheme.
So all my Progen cars (save the Tyrus, which has the proper Debonaire livery) are in McLaren orange. My Grottis are all in Formula Red. My Dewbauchees are all in grey or silver. My un-liveried retro custom Comet (YES I HAVE 2) is in racing yellow. I even have an Obey Tailgater (my next car will be an S3 Sedan or S4) in midnight blue.
The whole "look how intense/ugly I can make it" thing doesn't appeal to me. And I think a general monochromatic style isn't something I could pull off, even if it could look good. There's a guy on GTA forums, though, and I forget his name but his paint styles are literally what I imagine a fevered, dying dream looks like.
So um. TL;DR - I am fairly conservative in my paintjobs.
Same kind of style as me. The GiantsGiants of GTAF style of "how gaudy, bright, or hideous can I make cars to be unique" is not something I like at all and 90% of the community does such.

and to give yourself a headache when you walk into your garage
I think he's immune by now.
It as never bothered me to be honest. I had a mat lime green armores v12 with hot pink rims. 2-3 nodos made fun of me saying it was discusting. I then decided to piss them off once for all. I was looking for a color anyway.
"Color schemes" make me sick. Painting all cars or a majority of cars 1 color combo just seems lazy and tasteless. I prefer to make my cars have a variety of colors that generally resemble the factory colors of the irl inspired car.
I used to paint my cars all different colors then I got bored of that and having garages full of mismatched cars.
So to change it up, I started to experiment with color schemes.
