Initial D Elegy Retro Endurance Cup
Piggybacking off the success of the INITIAL D Karin Futo Eurobeat World Cup it is my pleasure to announce the Initial D Elegy Retro Endurance Cup. This is the premier championship for the Elegy Retro. This championship series will feature four hour plus long races taking place over 4 weeks in October. The tracks showcased will all be difficult hill tracks in the mountains of San Andreas. It's going to be an epic battle to find the best Elegy Retro racer in the world.

Thursday October 26th, 2017 - Spa-Francorchamps 20 laps, 3 required pit stops, you CANNOT pit on the first or last lap

Drivers: 30
Grid: The grid will be randomized for the first race. The subsequent races' starting grids will be determined by finishing position in the previous race. Positions 1-15 will be reversed. (e.g. 15th place starts in 1st for the next race, 13th place starts 2nd, 1st place starts 15th, etc.) This will help to keep the racing interesting and not stagnant and stale throughout the championship. It also eliminates the need for a lengthy qualifying session. Positions 16-30 will start in the position they finished in the previous race. (e.g. 30th place starts in 30th for the next race, 29th place starts in 29thth, 16th place starts in 16th, etc.)
There will be two different champions crowned. A driver champion as well as a team champion. Points will be awarded based on finishing position. Individual drivers will accrue points toward the driver's championship. Teams will accrue points based upon driver finishing positions. (e.g. driver 1 for Taco Bomb racing finishes in 1st place and is awarded 25 points, driver 2 for Taco Bomb racing finishes 5th place and is awarded 12 points. Taco Bomb racing accrues 37 points for that race.) Points system below.
Points System:
1st place: 25 points
2nd place: 20 points
3rd place: 16 points
4th place: 14 points
5th place: 12 points
6th place: 10 points
7th place: 9 points
8th place: 8 points
9th place: 7 points
10th place: 6 points
11th place: 5 points
12th place: 4 points
13th place: 3 points
14th place: 2 points
15th place: 1 point
CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS
If you cannot attend a race, you forfeit any points your reserve driver wins. You will start the next race based upon the finishing position of your reserve driver. That is your only benefit or detriment for not attending.
Starting Procedure: No formation lap. Standing start. Time will be announced and the race will commence on the explosion of stickie bombs.
Pits: Pit stops will be determined and specified for each track.

FPS Limit: 60 FPS.
Restrictions: NO OFFROADS ALLOWED. All other vehicle modifications are allowed.
Sponsors: In game sponsors only. You must choose a livery.
Penalties: The biggest things that I am concerned with is race etiquette within the race. Interfering with another person's race either intentionally or unintentionally will result in a penalty of up to 10 grid spots for the following race or in the event of the last race, a time penalty. There is a zero tolerance policy if anyone kills another player or blows up another player's car in the pre-race meet. You will automatically be sent to the back of the grid. No exceptions.
Spawning cars: Spawning cars will not be allowed since each team will have its own designated livery.
Blue Flags: Blue Flags will be in effect for lap down cars. Please yield to faster cars on track if you are being lapped. If you are the lapping driver do not bully slower drivers. Be courteous and considerate.
Reserves: You may sign up as a reserve. If a driver is not able to participate, a reserve driver will be pulled from the reserve list on a first come first serve basis.

THERE WILL BE NO SAFETY CAR IN EFFECT. YOU ARE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE COMPETENT RACERS. BE CAREFUL ON THE FIRST FEW LAPS WHEN EVERYONE IS BUNCHED UP.
